I don't think that was the idea, but think back over time since the Tier I, Tier II experiment, who has even shown up for anything from section one. So, do you think any of them will be "pounding" on AHA? I think not. Anyways, that's a whole other topic reserved for a "recruiting" thread.

Nice Beaver.
Thanks, I just had it stuffed yesterday.

Owatonna had 19 players play tonight and 2 players got their 1st goals tonight. Freshmen Erik Johnson had 2 goals.
Congratulations is in order for Mr. Will Fish. His first playoff win in 7 years. Way to go Will, you are really taking your program places. Good luck against JM on Thursday evening.

I find it interseting on your 2nd post you come into the forum and attack a coaches credibility. You no doubt have a bone to pick with Will. First off let me tell you he has a vast knowledge of the game. Second he does more for his program than 95% of the coaches in the state. His life is hockey and teaching. His family is his players and those at the rink. You won't find too many with his dedication, the kids he has been working with at the youth program are starting to just come through the high school program and are sophmores and juniors. How did these kids do at the youth level? Two state apperances at the Bantam level thats how. Owatonna will be taking there ice out next weak end, Will has been trying to get the county to keep it in all year long but it has been a battle, most kids in this program skate very little in the off season.
In your 3rd post Jacues lets try and be a little more positive.
Will Fish is a dedicated dude for sure. I pretty sure he's well read. I've heard he's a member of MENSA? You seem to know him quite well, can you confirm this?
puckbunny,
I can't confirm or denounce. He is quite the intellect no doubt about it. A great guy as well, I have never heard him talk ill of a person ever. He will do anything for a friend.
Will is one of the "good guys". Along with Nystrom in AL he's one of the coaches I'm always pulling for. I was dissapointed when he didn't get the JM job a few years back, I don't know if he even applied, but I was hoping he did.
Anyway, a win over JM would make a statement.
I think it might be a stretch to call him the best coach in hs hockey. I assume you mean the entire state right? That is a bold statement.
It seems that the Huskies are moving in the right direction....
Was it really his first playoff win? I am surprised since he had guys like Harriman, the Gaulrupps, Oldenfendt, Vince Anderson and others on his teams. It seems he should have been able to beat somebody besides Worthington in the playoffs if he were the best in the state.
Call me crazy, but that is some good talent to not get a playoff win at some point - epsecially in the weakest section in the state eh?
I expect the JM/Owatonna game to be really close tomorrow, but I think a team with 12 seniors will win it by a goal.

You have to be kidding right? No better coach in HS hockey? Have you ever heard of Dave Aus? How about Roy Nystrom, if you like the Southern Minny guys. Please don't tell me there is no better, that is an unquantifiable statement, that cannot even be backed up by his record or his ability(or lack thereof) to be hired into a more prominant program.
With the semi-finals set and the "strom of the century" bearing down on So. Minnesota in the next 24 hours, keep your ears tuned to the radio. Section 1 is encouraging all wrestlers to stay in Rochester tonight, the A, AA, & AAA individual tournament starts tonight and ends tommorrow night. They can't afford to be pushed back because they start their tournament on Thursday. From what I understand if say Houston can't make it all the brackets with Houston wrestlers will have to be frozen until Monday. My son wil probably end up staying with some friends in Rochester tonight just in case.
The Mayo/Century hockey game will be a go no matter what as there is no travel involved, I wouldn't be too suprised if the JM/North game gets bumped up to 1:00 to eliminate some travel hastles. It's much easier to get home during daylight than at night.
Of course weathermen seem to overhype everything and instead of the 9"-14" will get about 2".
