Sparky, how can you say Hermantown carried the 3rd period? they didnt score, and had only a FEW shots below the top of the circle...they simply couldnt beat cathedral's D at all last night...were we at the same game? haha....j/k Hermantown wasnt that bad last night, Cathedral was just that good.......

I wouldn't say that Cathedral absolutely owned the game. In my opinion, Hermantown carried the play for the majority of the 3rd period, but by then it was too late. Those D for Cathedral are GOOD. That was the 1st time I'd seen them play. They just out-muscled Hermantown's forwards all night, and ma...

Why would someone not cheer for a guy from northern MN. Apparently there're all underdogs. Except the guys from Marshall. But when it really comes down to it, I cheer for all guys from MN. They've all earned it. I haven't met a kid or seen a kid play who didn't deserve a D1 scholarship in MN. We've ...

Nope. Professor at UMD (not sure if he still is) and co-coach of the Duluth girls' hockey team.

A lot has changed for both these teams since the State Championship game. The Hawks struggled early, but have been playing pretty well as of late, and that's who I'm going with in this game. I know that I don't have many posts, and that this next comment might cause a stir, but I've also been readin...

i would not add denfield to the list.... i have only seen one star on their team and that is that cody kid ...it is pretty funny to watch one of their games because the whole student section stands up and yells cody whenever the kid touches the puck....also along with that denfield plays some scrap...

Pretty darn good game, pretty physical. 4-3 Hawks in O.T. Shots were about 34-16 in the Hawks favor. Boese, Huttel, and J. Krause with 2 goals, including the game winner, for the Hawks. All I remember for Virginia is Westin scoring, not sure about the other two goals. Devils were down 3-1 with about...

Eveleth won it in 1998. They might have been co-champs with Hibbing, but I'm not positive.

How does Hermantown not make the #1 seed. They went undefeated in the regular season. H-town beat all the teams they needed to. They tied Cloquet and Marshall. Two high quality teams. Now, they beat #4 Hibbing and they still don't get respect. Come on. Rediculous. I think they've proved themselves. ...

I believe there is going to be a conference call between MN Hockey, the Region Tournament Directors, the coaches of the teams involved, and/or the team managers.

OK. Thanks. This is what I've got now. Morris/Benson is in instead of Leech Lake. The following should be 100% correct then, unless MBA took the #1 seed in D15 because they are hosting, but I doubt it. If they did, then just switch MBA and Fergus Falls. 3/2/2007 Game 1 10am Virginia vs. LOW Game 2 1...

East White beat the Lakers Red. That's all I know. So East White plays Hermantown, whom Hermantown handled quite easily in the regular season.

I'm sick of hearing about Little Falls. Look at the teams they've played. Only two tough teams: Virginia and Brainerd. And they lost to both. And Brainerd is questionable. I know for a fact that they keep the ice at Hermantown at a level lower than most places. That part is not a factor in the game. The ice is so cold that sometimes a big piece chips off near the boards, and I have seen this happen. It was an even game until the 3rd, and Marshall took over ( I hate to...

In my opinion, one of the best is #9 from Hermantown. He makes everyone around him better. It seems like he has a magnet on his stick, the puck always seems to stay with him. I'm not saying he's the best out there, but very skilled and determined.
