Right or wrong Roseau is stuck in AA for 2 more years.

Anyone know what he attendance was for the Class A final? I have been searching but can't find it.

Unfortunately the good old days are over for us here in Roseau. A very distinct possibility of not even being able to field a JV team next year. It is time to make the move back to A, but we might still be locked in for a couple of years. Time to bring some excitement back to the rink and have games...

I think as expected. If Roseau takes care of business at home and beats STMA, they are probably a 3 seed and instead drop to 6. Everyone is pretty much playing for 2nd in the section at this point, unless Bemidji can somehow pull an upset against Moorhead.

THe list we were looking at only showed 5, but now when I look up a different site, it does show 6. 2 out of 6 I think but you might be right, it could be 3.

Just think, 2 of the 5 girls on the all tournament that played for Warroad were actually from Warroad. That in itself is impressive!

There is a reason we have progressed as a society. Going to this archaic way of tournament play is a disaster if you actually care about finding who the best teams are. If you are one of these "we need graphical representation" people then I guess it works. But for those who want the best...

Take the ratings and bias out and go back to the old way the boy's tournament used to be set. The tournaments were set up years in advance by a random rotation of sections playing each other in the first round. Certainly made for some fantastic tournaments!

Moorhead's last loss was in December to Minnetonka 2-1. Their goals against was less than 1.5 a game and they have only given up 3 goals once. The Roseau Rams put up 4 in the third period and will be representing 8AA in St. Paul.

Sartell did beat Elk River and Roseau unfortunately had early season losses to Bemidji and Elk River. The voting was close for #1 and #2 spot. It will be an exciting section tournament and one has to believe there will be an upset or two along the way.

Put to bed the story that Roseau got out because they couldn't win 8A. The Rams competed at a high level winning all school titles and wanted to continue that tradition. With that said, it is time to move back as the hockey landscape has changed immensely in the last 15 years.

The Rams defeated the Warriors in OT last night, setting up a very good Hockey Day rematch that should be entertaining for everyone!
