Haven't we learned our lesson in this section?! Seedings are done based on head to head. Not a this team beat that team beat this team by 3 by 2 by 10.... Get real. They actually published a scenario that includes this redwood/Luverne logic at my D3 college. Based on the teams our football team bea...

On a side not, how can you not cheer for the underdog? If you TRIPLE Luverne's enrollment you would STILL be short of New Ulms Enrollment for this year. That is pretty mind boggling. Cant wait for Friday It's wet enough outside - quit your whining. your post has no substance. Entire section is the ...

. Prediction: LDC 5 Luverne 3. LDC’s size and strength and playoff experience will be too much for Luverne in the end. This will be the one upset of the Quarterfinals.[/b] 8-1 Luverne. All you naysayers please keep it up. The Cardinals are a good young hockey team. There youth teams have either bea...

This looks an aweful lot like the article on hockeyhub last week. Word for word Wow, this is rich! Although not quite Word for Word from the Hockey Hub article, it's obvious where 3A scout got it from. This may be more embarassing than the guarantee that Windom would beat Luverne, and the Lu...

Section 3A Playoffs Quarterfinals Preview #1 Seed New Ulm Area Eagles (14-11-0) The Eagles are the favorite to again advance out of Section 3A and expects to do just that. A handful of Eagles have known nothing but ending their season in St. Paul each winter, including leading scorer Brody Peterson...

Re: enrollment
bigger enrollment means more athletes which in turn means not all of the best athletes are playing hockey. just because luverne's enrollment is small, it doesn't mean they would be better if they had more students. It just means they would have more plugs for their jv team. Sorry Barry, you are wro...

Interesting figures: New Ulm cooped enrollment: 1408 (1275 is the A/AA cutoff) Marshall cooped enrollment: 1186 LDC cooped enrollment: 1038 Windom cooped enrollment: 924 Hutch enrollment: 762 Luverne cooped enrollment: 467 (smallest enrollment in 3A) Can't help but pull for the underdogs! Good take...

Here we go again, same song different dance. New Ulm played the same song last year thinking they were a shoe in for section champs. If NU played as good as they talked they wouldn't just be 3A champs, they would probably be state champs. You NU people talked smack all year last year and come Feb. L...

The bottom line is that NU can't score enough goals to represent 3A at the dance. In the last two weeks you were only able to put 4 goals against Redwood, and 4 goals against Fairmont. Maybe NU needs to start having a little respect for their opponents.(or anyone for that matter) Or maybe Fairmont a...

Did anybody else hear anything about Marshall complaining about the refs? I bet they were complaining about all their pentalies, and the only reason they had to take all those pentalies is because they CAN'T skate with New Ulm. Look how the tables have turned on New Ulm...stars two and three are the...

I'm going w/ Litch and the better goaltender by 2 I'm changing my prediction. If Ethan is officiating this game, the team that he wants to win, will win. That was made obvious on Sat. night. Since his brother coaches in Waseca which is in the same conference as NU, it makes perfect sense that he wo...

I dont think behindthemask has been smoking anything, he has just died and went to heaven or he is on something more than you can smoke. LDC will be in the final and will play either New Ulm or Willmar, sorry to the Marshall faithful your going out in the first game, Ldc / Hutch will be a battle wo...

Final Seedings 1. New Ulm 2. Hutchinson 3. Litchfield 4. Marshall 5. Willmar 6. Windom 7. Luverne 8. Redwood Valley 9. Worthington 10. Fairmont 11. Sleepy Eye  How is this for a scenario  Redwood beats NU 4-3 in regulation(not impossible, thank you Fairmont) Marshall beats Willmar (very...

I doubt that anyone would vote to give the 1 seed to NU, but if they were thinking about it, I bet they change their mind now. Imagine what the NU fans would be saying if this happened to Marshall. :x :x :x The fortunate thing is that it didn't happen to Marshall or Hutch or Litch. So now we again w...

If there is no obviuos number one, well then obviously it must be New Ulm!!!!!!!!!! Other than Hutch and Litch, who has New Ulm beat??????? After that, New Ulm's next toughest victory's were against Prairie Center, and Windom. Since New Ulm was beat by both Marshall and Wilmar head to head, I guess ...

Shots
Shots aren't a great indication of how a hockey game goes. It's quality not quanity. Marshall played everyone equally tonight and was in total control of the game from the drop of the puck being up 2-0 under 2 minutes into the game. Any other section games tonight? A quote that was left by powerpla...
