Well all I can say is I hope finally this will give the Eagan boys the respect they deserve. This was a great game, physical at times and very fun to watch. Both teams scored one soft goal and then two terrific goals. Unlike the first game Eagan was able to mostly shut down the Eagles power play. B...

He also gave Mahtomedi their first goal. He will need to control the puck better and make better decisions in the WCHA in order to be successful.

Hockeyjunkie2,

You are suppose to say O'Shea out with a lower body injury. We can't tip off Apple Valley before Sections. :D

Kennedy 4 EV 3 Final

Few notes:

AJ Michaelson (AV) cleared to play tonight @ Eagan (concussion)
Ryan O'Shea (EV) out vs. Kennedy this afternoon. (Groin pull)

Can anyone give me an update on where Hakan Humsakaler (sorry for the spelling error) from Lakevillle South ended up? And what happened to the Hollerud kid from Blaine?

hockeyjunkie2,

Did you attend the Eastview game? My buddy told me the shots were 44-17 in favor of Roseville and O'Shea was crazy good. I also heard Smith had 4. Is this correct?

12/27 SCORES AND UPDATES

Eastview 3 Hudson 0 Final

O'Shea cards third shutout of the year and second in a row.

Smith-Chacich-Trepenier I believe scored all three goals in the first five minutes of the game.

I need to amend my last statement because of Mike Lee of Roseau. He was able to get noticed in a big way stopping 8-15 shots a game of which 1 or 2 were quality. I was wrong so go ahead and rate the goalies above.

InGodWeTrust, If you want goalies that will move to next level you can't look at the goalies from the top teams because they do not face enough shots or enough quality shots for them to be noticed. Look at last year's top ten teams and tell me one goalie playing at a high level. Phillippi had the be...

Ryan O'Shea

Hockeyjunkie2, O'Shea and Gretz represented Section 3A/AA last year at the spring festival for Select 16's and both did a great job. You can't go wrong with either tender and you are right it is time for Hayes to give Gretz the hard games to see what he has. All the pub goes to Meyers, Kruger, Altri...

Wilcox is really proving tonight that he is the best goalie in the state at any level.[quote]

Goldy,

Are you sure he is the best ever? This is a lofty statement after one game. My God have some perspective.

I just think the level of play in the net becomes even more important during sections, and that level of play has been inconsistent all year for EV . Komada77, You could say this about every goalie in the state of MN except Lee. The way Eastview plays doesn't lend itself to consistency because of l...

I may be an idiot however I am going with Eastview to win the lake. They will run the table and Rosemount will lose 3 of their final 6. LS or LN will take them and so will EP and Burnsville. EV's schedule is the easiest of the contenders down the stretch because they have Bloomington and Burnsville ...

Rbkhockey21, Stev16 is right! The first Rosemount/Eastview game was decided by the refs in OT. 5 on 5 Eastview wins that game or at worst ties. The Bloomington game was a complete give away with 4 seconds left in OT in Bloomington's barn another tie at worst. Eastview has beaten EP and Minnetonka an...

Parrish4president, The only thing O'Shea struggles with is traffic in front of his net (yes this is size related) Look at all the soph's in starting roles in the state playing the competition he plays game in and game out and tell me who is playing better?
