The rematch: Eden Prairie @ Eagan 1/26

Post by HockeyMN1 »

This one should be fun at least on the forum, not sure how much fun Eagan will be having on the ice  All kidding aside, EP visits Eagan this time after beating them by 6 at home, will Eagan come back or will there be another Kyle Rau sighting in Eagan this time?
EP two out of three.

Eagles are the better team. Should be a good defensive game though.

I agree, this might be a tougher game. Eagan always play tough at home. EP usually opens its schedule at Eagan. EP wins in a tough battle.

Eagan will play a much more defensive game but on the big sheet eden prarie will skate all over the cats.. Should be a closer game but dont think Eagan can keep up quite yet..

Good match up, but the eagles will be to tough.

Eagles 5
Cats 2

Eagan has a very tough week, 3 very tough games. Might come crashing down to earth.

EP takes this one 5-1. I haven't been impressed by this Eagan team at all this season.

I think most would agree they've overachieved if anything this year.

I believe the youth and inexperience will finally catch up to them this week, though.

They gave up 4 to Chaska the other night. I don't think EP scores any less than 5.

Eagan team

Post by Lakeviewing »

Right now, this Eagan team is just too young. May be a good team next year, but expecting a win on Eagan's ice with EP will not happen. I know it has been tough, EP used to open its schedule at Eagan and was always a tough opener. EP wins here in a tough game.

They played the back up goalie against Chaska, only his second varsity start ever. Had Bodecker played it would have been no more than 2 goals. According to follow the puck he is the 3rd best goalie in the state at AA. As for tonights game, cant wait, Eagan will redeem themselves by at least playing EP tough and making it a very close game, but I still think the Cats can win.

Hey Fred, I was buying that EP hat to stomp on after we stomp them tonight...

I'm with you there. An Eagan win over EP would make Jefferson's loss look not so bad. I just don't see it happening. Rau and crew are on fire of late.

HHF.....???? Although I respect what the Wildcats have done this year, I can't give them the vote of confidence.

After watching Rau skate all over Hermantown, I think EP is hitting full stride. Goaltending has been solid for Eagan and will keep the SCORE close, but EP will dominate. Shots 33-18

EP 3-1.

Bodecker played the last time these 2 met and the Cats gave up 7.
