ALOT has been made of Aarons size. Heres something to think about, Ryan Duncan of UND is very close to Aarons size and last time I checked hes done very well at the college level. Size is easly covered up in college because of the level of players. You can send 2 guys onto Ness and not expect to be ...

Like I did in another topic, I congratualated HM and many of the other teams from the metro with a fine tournament. That is what this was, a tournament. I saw in other hockey tournaments held this year some teams didnt do so hot that were in this tournament. Yes, this is the state tournament and it...

I just don't get it. I think Aaron Ness is extremely deserving of the Mr. Hockey Award, but that's because of what he did this year; completed his junior and senior years while playing hockey and working out. That would be extremely demanding physically and mentally. BUT, I think that isn't fair to...

If Roseau was overated then so was Edina. Roseau lost to Hill by a score of 4-1 if you take away what happened with the Goalie pulled. Edina lost 3-0. You cant make one claim without makeing the other. The game against BSM dont prove anything when Roseau played alot of their seniors and gave them pl...

Lets put it this way, tonight Roseau eats Crow for loseing to Hill but then again we have some company and we welcome the Edina fans to join us. Hill beats Roseau 4-1 minus the empty neters and 3-0 over Edina, I dont know but seems like both Roseau and Edina got it handed to them by what was a much ...

Same talk as always. So last season during state everyone sent there JV teams to play?? Funny how much a team gets hated on when they were the ones on top. As for todays game, those guys didnt put up much fight. Maybe had you heard them talking last night you would have seen that was a crushing loss...

Re: The Cake Eater Cup!
I can hear it already...daddy's money, daddy's money! Edina _ucks...etc. Or, it's the Cake Eater Cup, all part of our hockey in this State of Hockey! But we must not forget .. it is our hockey! Not Wisconsin's, Michigan's or heaven forbid anyone on the east coast. Remember, today a Ram tomorrow a G...

Its truely funny how the cities act like this was there superbowl. Hill got an upset over the top ranked team. Seems to me that happenes alot, very few teams make it through this state unbeaten and you saw why last night. Congrats to Hill, a hot goalie and some very rough play was the right combo to...

They are getting the rubber to the net and thats a good sign. Hill keeps takeing these cheap shots to the back and giveing Roseau power plays might come back to hurt them. However wow has Hill impressed me tonight with how they started off. The end of the 1st Roseau did start to pick up speed and h...

They would be alot better off showing us a tiny mite game during the breaks. Whats more fun then watching the little guys slip around out on the ice. It wont be long and I will have to scratch out my eyes from seeing the same thing over and over. Wait there is hope......the tourney is only one more ...

Warroad97, We can always hope and as a Catholic school we can always pray. Maybe, just maybe Hill was laying back last night to lull Roseau into a false sense of security! Or maybe they will show up tonight in their big black jerseys and will scare the white rams. In other words, I guess there is n...

So wait, i wasn't aware of this...Ness isn't from Roseau? I didn't know he was a recruit. Do his parents work at Polaris? Wonder how they got those jobs... Yeah, at tender age of 6, the Roseau boosters saw potential when Ness, moved him and his family to Roseau and got them a cushy job for 6...

Ok BEFORE any pucks were even droped people were saying whoever got Lakeville was going to have a walk. It wasnt just afew people, it was everyone outside of the lakeville fans. Hill wasnt impressive last night. You can say it was Lakes goalie you can say it was there D. But you must remember Roseau...

If I was a member of Blaine I would be upset by that comment. It might have been a heat of the moment thing but as a coach of highschool kids its your job to handle things correctly. Throwing this kid under the bus did nothing but hurt him. It was this same kid who helped them make it to the state t...

No one is ever a lock in any sport. Edina isnt a lock to win tonight even, nor is Roseau. That said if they fix afew things they did last night they will be a tough out against anyone. Remember before last nights game there was alot of questions if Roseau could beat Blaine again. Question answered. ...
