Jags are still laying in the weeds
Since Chuck Norris Fan has disappeared, I am putting up the definitive rankings for MN Bantam A hockey as of January 6th, 2008. You can love these rankings or hate them, but there is no ‘politics’ involved --- just straight up matching up schedules. I would put these up against the Lets Play Hockey...

I would like to see the rule changed, but don't think it will happen. District 6 has the rule in place so they don't get off schedule during play-offs and are able stay within the block of ice they are scheduled for, which makes sense. I'm not to worried though, I'm sure there will be enough parent...

Sounds good to me. Feddie- after many substantial contributions during your 139 post existance, you are indeed losing your marbles. Might be someting in the EP water that not only produces fine hockey players but some type of mind diminishing plague bacteria seems to have gotten you. There needs to...

PSST....hey buddy...there is more than one college hockey play-off. I forgot they changed that for DI though; that's crazy...the winner or the WCHA, CCHA, etc. should get an automatic-bid to the tournament. Hey Freddie and Falcon: To correct you guys in your debate: Currently the #1 seed DOES NOT n...

D6 playoffs are a blast though, weather it's A or B, Bantam or Peewee it's always great to watch and there usually is an upset or two. For all intents and purposes, the current system does provide the #1 seed a bye into regions, all they have to do is not lose their first game against either a #4 or...

Lets get serious fellas...All sports at all levels have playoffs (except Squirts or Mites) right? I can't come up with another sport at any level, weather it's pro, collegiate, high school or youth where one team is declared the loser because of a tie. In every single other sport's playoffs that I c...

Pondy, Do you (or anyone) know what the shots were in the Edina and Jefferson game? If Jefferson outplayed them for 2-1/3 periods, Jefferson should have out shot Edina by a good margin. Jefferson out-shot Edina by a few shots, maybe something like 32-26. Jefferson had quite a few more good ch...

Re: Bantams
Duluth is best place for travel tourney for city teams. You'd think the hotel operators would get off their wallets and throw some money towards updating some of the arena's before poeple get tired of going to rat traps like Fyberger though....that place is ridiculous....the hotel guys need to under...

Re: what a mess
Comments....for what it's worth.... Wayzata - deserves to be big dog with decisive "W" over EP recently EP- Back on track, couldn't possibly be worse than #2 though Edina- Still good but not great w loss of Everson.. East - Continues to get benefit of doubt - don't know why?? What is their...

Not sure why Woodbury gets the short end of the stick, with 43 wins??? They have same amount of losses as Bvlle and Wayzata Blue and a ton more wins than either of those two higher ranked teams....seems like a flaw on that one. Strength of schedule deserves consideration but its not like Bvlle is pl...

D6 Dog Fight
Does anyone know the deal with Jefferson not getting HEP point vs Chaska the other night? I beleive tomASS reported that Jefferson acheived the HEP that night but on the D6 standings it looks to not be the case... tomAss weren't you there?

Green gets revenge
Green completely handled Tonka last night in the revenge game from 1/22....Green is rising while White is falling, I woulda never expected that.. but love it nonetheless..look out for Green in two weeks!!!!

So much for kissing your sister..saw two great ties last night in D6'ville and even had time for a thirst quencher between games. EP slightly outplayed Chaska in the early game and I thought White dominated Green the first half of game of Edinas (why 9:00 start time??) . Solid goaltending by both ma...

father coaches
i think there are lots of good points both ways after reading all those messages.....i dunno, I still think a good coach is a good coach and a bad coach is a bad coach.....and as far as ice time, someone has to decide which kids go out on the ice and the last I checked it was up to the coach.....so ...

bb1 teams
I've seen Blaine 5 or 6 times and to be honest, I think they are way over-rated....I'm sure they beat up on all the Northern teams but man they just don't do much for me, basically big thugs....Is Centennial better,or maybe more skilled?

Top District
At Bantams it is for sure District 6 and by a long shot (both A and B1)....Bantam A has probably 5 of top 9 in state residing in D6. BB1 probably has 8 of top 13 teams in state.... and those hairbrained statements wouldn't be off by very much, if at all. There is just so much depth in D6 at bantam l...

Worst Rinks in D6
1. Minnetonka "B" is a dungeon, horrible and "A" isn't much better....(Pagel is one of best though....)
Most of the others are pretty cool, old but cool

Parent Coachs
GR- my last message didn't come across the right way after I looked at it...A good coach develops all his players. That doesn't always mean ice time is exactly even, it can't be because of special teams and a reasonable desire to win. So that being the case, if each team has 2 power play units, that...

Time will tell...
This one is a waste of finger power. With the possible exception of EP Red, the next 7 teams are all about the same (very good). So it will of course boil down to goaltending.
And whoever has the most 1st year players of those 7 teams. At this time of year it's all about the 1st year guys....

FATHER COACHES
IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE COACH. A GOOD COACH IS A GOOD COACH. AND AN EXPERIENCED AND GOOD PARENT COACH IS ACCUTELY AWARE OF THE PERCEPTIONS OF HOW HE MANAGES HIS OWN KID DURING THE SEASON, REGARDLESS IF ITS FAIR OR NOT. I'VE ALWAYS FOUND IT INTERESTING THAT A FAIR PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WOULD RATHER H...

Re: Revised to give proper credit!
Like many d6 teams, Jags are box of chocolates....never know what you're gonna get. check their record. Edina Green 5, Jefferson 1 Edina dominated the whole game, it was in jefferson's zone for pretty much the entire game. shots Edina Green 35, Jeffeson 17 Thanks for the update on the games - your r...
