I think if you look at the athlete pool in the communities you see that Buffalo, Elk River, and Rogers are strong hockey programs and weaker in wrestling. The winter athletes that could cross-over into hockey are more likely to be the wrestlers than basketball players (as you don't see too many 6' 4...

It is almost a tradition that STMA kids leave for other programs. I believe this list was posted a couple seasons ago. All these kids played Pee Wee hockey in STMA and transfered at some point in their HS days. Kyle Rogers to Elk River ('04) Tony Rogers to Elk River ('07) Zach Graham to Rogers ('07)...

There is a lot of hype around Buffalo for this game, so you know the Bison will be charged up. If they can control their emotion and not take bad penalties I'm thinking they will take it. However it will be their 3rd big game in 5 days having played the other top 2 teams in their conference on Satur...

I went to watch Buffalo beat on STMA this evening and the National Anthem was played Jimmy Hendrix style by a kid from STMA HS. During warm-ups and between periods, instead of a pep band these 3 kids (guitar, bass, drums) just rocked out on all these different jams. And thankfully there was no music...

Looks like they will not only be strong this year, but for years to come. Roseau had 4 forwards in the U15 state 51 team this year. Go Rams!

Who are the goalies for Rogers anyways? Only seen two from last year, one graduated and one never even seen varsity time. If they have to rely on the kid that backed up, they are in serous trouble. Granted they have some pretty good D, but goaltending goes a long ways. Try and keep up on this: The ...

I'm going with Rogers. Kupka may be the best unknown goalie in the Metro. Jensen has to be the best skilled sophomore defenseman in the state.

Champlin 2
