Re: Shalt tuck
[quote="blueblood"]Most Minnesota hockey fans could care less about Shattuck, unless their kid plays there. [-([/quote Wow! You sound a "little" bitter or jealous. Anytime a hockey program wins as many " national " not just state titles as Shattuck does it is at least w...

prep roster
Watched a couple SSM games recently. It looked like about half the roster was different for the Sunday game vs. Saturday game. Huge difference between the two different lineups and makes me wonder who they suit up for the MN HS team games. Are you sure you are seeing the same team each time? I go t...

Re: ??
But I think if you were to combine the best players from BSM, Hill Murray, St. Thomas, Breck, Blake etc into one team they would be very competitive with SSM. Especially if you were to add 30 games and another two months to the season to give them longer to work on their positioning and systems. bs...

Re: bsm....
bsm with typical sloppiness in own end does them in. they just get caught to often standing still that gives d no alternatives to get puck out of zone. it adjustment to this is almost non-existent and seems to happen against every good team they play. i think they maybe the most talented team in st...

shattuck
really SSM will beat any team in the MN High School League, well coached, well conditioned, highly skilled SSM by at least 3 100 % disagree with this statement...SSM is very beatable this year I have said this for as many years as Shattuck has played MSHL teams. ANY TEAM will lose a few. Yes, even ...

I was at both the Benilde game and AHA game @ Shattuck. I am for MN Hockey all the way, but I'm sorry to say that Shattuck was was far more dominant than the scoreboard showed. The goalies were the key factor in both games and kept the score as close as it was. Also, both Benilde and AHA junior var...

.....Or maybe Breck could take Tonka. :P No doubt they are a better team...than any Minnesota High School team. Fun to watch, high skill, high energy and they know how to play as a team. All in all Breck did pretty well holding them to only 4 goals considering they averaged 4.8 in the Elite league ...

Re: Donny Lucia is already groomin em
A little off topic... but if anyone saw last nights interview with Tony Lucia after the gopher game. On a number of occasions he said it was a big win for the "program". haha and not the "team". What player unless your the coaches kid says its a big win for the "program&quo...

Please people!!! I was enjoying this discussion until it turned to the usual public v. private debate. This isn't about wins and tourney appearances, it's about coaches, their knowledge of the x's and O's, motivational abilities, physiological prep, peaking, teaching, citizenry, and the overall exp...

I call it a good old fashion whooping.... This is a different team that I saw two weeks ago. They were much better today. Game was close till the penalty shot, then the flood gates opened. SSM is way talented. Like the last poster, nice crowd. This is the Zamman I appreciate. Honest, even if it hur...

BSM / Shattuck
Here we go again, it is always the "refs" fault when Shattuck beats a M.S.H.L. team. I'd say there were penalties called against BSM because Shattuck was at least a step ahead of BSM and they needed to do a lot of hooking to slow it down. Shattucks power play was pretty weak the first 1/2 ...

Derek S.
I think you mean from "Shattuck". The article paints it pretty clearly where he credits his High School hockey coming from!! Leaving the NHL interviews to come back to go through a ceremony. Speaks volumes for the young man and the school.

Shattuck St. Mary's National Champs again
Jordy Murray's dad is the nhl coach, and was the Prep coach before getting his nhl job. They are Canadian. It is sometimes deceiving on the hometown page because some parents choose to move to Faribault to be with their kids when they attend High School. So it will say hometown is Faribault. JP hasn...

Here's a little history about Shattuck that some of you might find interesting. Nothing about hockey, but about the school in general. When I was growing up, Shattuck was a place in a middle of a corn field that my father was sent to because his parents caught him smoking. So when we were kids, the...

Re: Ignorance
This team should win. Any team that can recruit from around the world and draw the "best" players should win. If they don't, there's a coaching issue. The kids at SSM go there for one reason and one reason only......to play hockey. They could all be failing academically, but if their hock...

Re: Ignorance
Ignorance is in the eye of the beholder. While "winning" is a statistic that some of you focus on as a measuring stick, the only real way to objectively look at this debate is to consider "Who is moving players to the next level?". Take a look at the Seniors at a BSM, Edina or H...

Any given day, any team can get beat. It's how you play when it really matters re: championship games!!! 9 out of 10 games Shattuck beats BSM. Were you at the game? Shattuck completely dominated. Out shot them 4 to 1 ( at least). And yes, Shattuck did play the nationals without leading scorer David ...
