My vote to replace the Don. Carey Eades. Let the heckling begin. He knows how to coach, has put out some well coached teams in his day, shown he can develop top NHL players, and I love his style of hockey. I will endd my gopher allegiance if that d1ck is named head coach... Because he coaches for t...

Re: Ness

Can someone give me some info: does Ness know how to play defense in his own end? He cannot clear in front and is terrible in the corners. :( Umm...yeah...he's terrible in his own end...that's why Lucia has had him play PK since day 1... He's been generating some nice chance since Lucia's had him p...

Lee is a solid goaltender and has a pretty remarkable pedigree--winning 42 straight high school games, playing USHL when he should be in High School and winning goaltender of the year, being the first american born goaltender chosen in the draft. That being said, he will get a baptism by far, but st...

Probably a good move on his part. More than likely will play behind Faichild and Leddy as far as offensive D go. Would not get PP time and therefore will see limited ice time and could be odd man out as far as dressing. Odd man out for dressing? Ness was the only freshman at the U of M to play ever...

Ness leaving the Gophers?

Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL traded a goalkeeper and a 5th round pick for a 3rd round draft choice and the playing rights to Aaron Ness. The 5th round pick is conditional on Ness reporting, but why even make this trade unless you thought there was an outside chance. Seems odd. Ness has never indic...

This was pretty anti-climatic as it's been known for awhile now that Dean Blais is going to Nebraska. Way I see it, guaranteed entry to the WCHA , nudge nudge wink wink by insiders, is the only way for Nebraska to snag him. Nebraska is lucky, first rate coach and not afraid to think outside the box-...

Moorhead's got the hot hand; cretin, a hot goaltender. It'll be close. Moorhead 2 Cretin 1 or vice versa in a classic. Wouldn't be surprised to see O.T.

Where'd all the Edina fans go? You know the...only beat Roseau by...17 shots...running time... Yawn. Edina chokes one more year. Nothing to see here, move along... Good, solid, physical game Spuds. Played a great game. Hope you guys go on a tear--section 8 in the house. Are you friggin' delusional?...

Fairchild since christmas? what kid have you been watching? I've never been impressed by his defensive abilities. He's been a gaping hole for this team since he joined. Don't get me wrong, Fairchild's a good player. Just needs to put some time into his defensive play especially in his own zone--whi...

To lay the "blame" of Kangas's lack luster performances of late on Gopher D seems like passing the buck. Defense, no matter who's on the ice, doesn't contribute to all the bad angle, short side, simply put bad goals that we've been seeing. He's in a slump, he knows it, and he'll figure a w...

I had never seen Ness in person until a couple of weeks ago. He's not as small as some people think he is and I'm sure he's still growing. I had pictured in my mind a lot smaller of a kid, but his height definitely surprised me. I'd say he's 5'10" off his skates. I doubt he weighs much more th...

I'm not so sure. Goalies have a long shelf life compared to any other position. Might be more advantageous to let Kangas ripen vs a baptism by fire.
