Marci is a very good coach and our daughter has a very high level of respect for her as both a coach and person. She is very intense and expects the absolute best out of her players 100% of the time. I can see where, at the HS level where not all the girls are as committed, her style can rub some th...

I am with Blatherwick and MacMillan on this one.....small teams at the Squirt level so the kids are on the ice every other shift. More of an emphasis on in-house games, pond hockey games and skill development on and off the ice. I am assuming that they have 10 kids on the A team and 10-11 kids on ea...

The Ice Kings were the GF team in the TRF tournament? Didn't they get beat by Elk River 11-1 or something like that? Wayzata shouldn't have a problem with them if that is truly the case.

I would imagine that they are just that good. There is no way an association registered with Minnesota Hockey is going to put themselves out there and send an A team to a B tournament. There would be some major sanctions against them if they did. Not only that, but if Elk River sent their Pee Wee A ...

Ummmm.....they did play Silver Bay, right??? Let's see these two superstars play against the top 5 in the section before you start singing their praises. I haven't seen them play, but most of Park's sophomores did play Bantam B hockey last year. Not sure why or how a kid that played B hockey last ye...

To get back to the original question regarding skating....If you are looking for a scholarship, the first thing that will get you noticed is your skating. However, if you do not possess rink sense and puck skills you will be crossed off the scholarship list pretty quickly. Learn to skate first, then...

I was coaching mini mites a few years back. The play of the puck was down on the other end of the rink and one of my players was hanging back by me. She looked at me and said, "It is about time the puck goes down there.....would you like to buy some girl scout cookies from me?" It was cute...
