Re: Who will be the top team next year? AA

Do I smell another underachieveing hornets team next year? I think I do. Edina was the #1 seed at the state tournament last season, went 2-1, and won the Consolation hardware. Edina was the #2 seed this year, lost in the final, and was Runner-up. Is this the underachieving team of which you speak? ...

Couldn't agree more with what RBK said I think Edina should be able to handle this game but you never know I haven't had a chance to see the Spuds play.

Edina 4
Moorhead 2

If Edina wants a shot at winning they will need a strong showing from the goalie Girard and from what I have seen he is the right person to have between the pipes he could win them this tournament if he plays well but the same can be said for many teams, goaltending is key :!:

As a former Hornet player this is hard to say but the better team definitely won tonight. Hill Murray played a great game and their goaltender was on fire. If we had to get beat by someone at least it was by a guy like Lechner who is a class act. Congratulations to the Pioneers on winning their 3rd...

That is true, but last year they changed to this system and it made the whole system a lot better. They got rid of the Owatonna or Sartell teams that didn't belong in this class of teams. There is always going to be teams that should be in that didn't make it, thats hockey and thats why they call it...

He didn't pick a single upset unless you count the Edina over Roseau for class A and AA.

And E.P. is so righteous that they should be allowed to score 19 goals?

Come on play all your 3rd liners a lot and set a pass limit before you can shoot, It's not that difficult, coach should have cut them off around 10.

If only the Wild had landed Hossa.

I'm not sure though, if he could have survived under Jacque's tough defensive play he looks like a free wheeling forward that doesn't want much to do with defense. Maybe I'm wrong I've only seen him two or three times.

It was Krueger in net tonight not sure which number is supposed to be which. There are some pretty good evaluations there about the game from what I saw. Gardiners 1st goal was weak to say the least, Caschetta must've just thought he wasn't going to shoot because if he had his eye on it no way it wo...

The goalie (Girarad) played very well. Before last night's game I didn't think he was worthy of all the accolades he was receiving. The Edina defense also played well limiting the shots to the outside. Edina's powerplay aslo looked better. They weren't running around like they usually do. Does some...

As of now my list would be...

E.P.
Wayzata
Edina
Duluth East
Roseau

And to be honest I'm not familiar enough with the regions other possibilities could be St. Cloud, Grand Rapids, White Bear if they can get going.

Edina came back from a 2-0 deficit. The goalie for Edina made some nice saves but I thought Edina looked like the better team tonight. These two teams seem to match up very well and make for a fun game to watch.

Wayzata was missing their best defenseman Dj Jones, does anyone know why?
