Post by Pucknutz69 »

Lets see the list when it's done and who watched and who stood out? Who should have stayed home?

I agree goali39 Nate Schmidt is by far the best 91 in the state. His name will come up in the future with a D1 team or even a pro.

I've never seen the kid play so i'm not sure, but if he is the best 91 in the state, i bet its not by far, because budish is defintely up there at the top, along with gaarder

I would put Isaac Kohls at the top.

From what I hear, Kohls is a complete stud. Not the upside as Schmidt but a bucket full of talent.
Taylor Mattson-The Next Non-Mr. Hockey

In the games that I watched at the Festival, I would say that Nate is a much better play maker. Kohls seems like he's more of a "get the puck to me" type of player.

Kohls is one of the more unselfish players out there, and definitely one of the tops for the 1991 birthyear. Too bad about his injury. He didn't have a ton of success in the Adv15 program because he was paired up with some linemates that weren't able to play at his pace (no offense to them).

Others in the upper echelon would be forwards Gaarder, Zepeda, Walters and defensemen Schmidt, Montgomery and Talmadge.

Why did D4 have three goalies. I noticed on the roster that only two were listed in Webb and Bruggeman. I heard each only played two halves at the festival and that in the first two games the three goalies saw about 20-25 shots in the two games combined. Not sure if that is good for them in the evaluations

Well, D4 had three goalies because during the practices we got and injured player who had a broken collar bone or something like that. So our coach decided to only bring 5 D instead of 6 and instead of that D man, he brought another goalie.

Hope that helps.
