Thats not the point. Like I already said, this is not a website to advertise on. I am sure you have a great tournament, but we are here to TALK about hockey. No one wants to see this anymore. Arent you getting enough money already???

BBB
Come to Ricky's BBB Invitational Celebration of Average Hockey Talent! I am only inviting below-excellent players because I think all of the good guys have been invited to other stuff. My tourney will feature a 'catch up' rule so that when a team gets up by two goals the other team has to skate shorthanded. WOW. I agree with the comment about getting rid of the free ads. I wish I was selling something so I could mass produce ads for free, what a deal!

If I was running a hockey tourney that was looking for some players, where else is a better place to find them?
If you don't like it, don't read it. Nothing wrong with finding creative avenues to get in touch with the target crowd. It's called Marketing.

Don't sweat the small stuff.
It's all small stuff.

My message wasn't saying that they weren't getting a lot of bang for their buck, which was $0... the message was to get the attention of the people in charge of the board. Alerting them that people were using their site to solicit. I have seen message boards where the minute someone posts an advertisment it is deleted. A coach coming on the board looking for a replacement for Timmy because he broke his arm, is one thing, some outfit from PA trying to get some free marketing is another. If Nike, Easton, Christian, Stauber, Dave's and everyone else started to post their weekly ads on this page, it could get ugly fast. Whoever is in charge of this site should make a statement, or a few bucks, one of the two.

You are probably right, but the American way is to take advantage of the system until the system won't allow it anymore. The Commish will have to determine when a line has been crossed. Until then, I don't see anything wrong with somebody soliciting for players.
Not only that, but with over 300 views, there are obviously some people out there that are interested.
I would be curious to know how many people have signed little Johnny up for a onehockey tournament because of this website.

nickel slots I want you to take a look and see how many of the topics dont have at least 300 views. Very few. And anyways like I said a couple times already, we want to talk about hockey on these forums, not be looking at advertisements. If they want to advertise so much why dont they make a deal put up an advertisement on the website where most ads go?
