I dont know if 8A is up for grabs... I think TRF is gonna win that easy... and the more things play out, I think the Spuds will win 8AA by a couple of goals over Roseau... NOTHING IS UP FOR GRABS... TRF and the Spuds are going to the X...

Husker.....how are things "playing out"? I am not convinced the Spuds are that dominating......I guess we'll see come playoff time. Roseau hit a bump in the road vs. Warroad.....that's it! Go Rams!

I would say the Spuds have some real quality wins of late... Wayzata and Centennial... so they are on the up and up... Roseau seems to have gone a different direction after beating Moorhead in Roseau.

Husker, You are right, up until and right after beating the Spuds in Roseau, the Rams seemed to drop their level of play....as if they had accomplished their goal of the season! When they played the Warriors, I think they had the idea that from here on out it would be a cake walk.......I hope they have learned their lesson. Last night's game got them a little bit back on track vs. TRF....and hopefully shook off any rust from the long layover. I think they will be able to regain their form come playoff time, and make the matchup vs. Moorhead something special once again....I agree Moorhead has been winning some games, but not like they have in prior years.....thus my comments about not agreeing on the score, and of course keeping everyone's faith up on the Rams. Of course I could be totally wrong, but time will tell.

I think Moorhead - Roseau is still a tight matchup... but it does appear Moorhead is starting to peak... the bloomington jefferson game will be a big indicator.. if they go down there and get a win... oh my... I dont think Moorheads margin of victory this year is an indication they have dropped off.. I think the Roseaus, TRF, Fargo Souths of the world are just better this year and closed the gap on their end a little... I just hope the section final is packed in St. Cloud.. like the old days of Moorhead and Elk River...

it's always nice to "peak" this time of year......for the Rams, they started to gel earlier than most people expected, thus the long 14 game winning streak while playing some very excellent hockey......there is still enough youth on the Rams to let this affect them, which led to the poor game in Warroad. However, it was only 1 game......so I think it's too early to tell if that can be considered anything but an off night for the team. I have to disagree with the Spuds teams of the past vs. this one....just from the games I've watched, this year when they came to Roseau, you didn't feel the same energy from the team. (just my observation.....here too you could say maybe it was one bad night.)

Of course everything is "up for grabs". What year isn't it. 8AA is has 2 teams able to take it, while in 3AA and 7AA it could easily be any of 4. It doesn't take a slap scientist to figure it out. Moorhead has their worst team in 3 years, and even slappy would deny that only publicly. Any of 15 teams could win state, and more that 8 A+AA know it. Neither AHA or Hill are proving to be more than a little above the rest. Moorhead / Jags will be a 1 goal game, who wins doesn't matter as much as staying healthy for the next 3 weeks.

Of course its up for grabs. Why even play the game if the "favorite" is going to win everytime? Last year the Spuds were favored to win the Whole Enchilada, but fell short. Prior to that the "unfavored" Rams, going arguably against the best Spud team ever, almost knocked them off. This year, there is balance between the two. The number one seed and number two seed will be those two teams. I still think the Spuds are number one, with the Rams "lickin their chops" to get into the finals against them. I said earlier that the Rams need to play, not like the underdog, but like the team to beat. In the two matches against each other, I feel the Rams have done that. Best of luck to all teams! Have fun! Its that time of the year!!!
