Centennial/HM
Managed to find a parking spot about a mile away but was worth the long walk, what a great game. Centennial is loaded and deep and best wishes in the state tournament, nice to see new blood. I love the way they fore check and come out of there defensive zone.

This game could have gone either way. HM impressed me with there work ethic and never die attitude. They are just not deep enough to match up against Centennial. Gorowsky played the game he needed but Montgomery and Greg Flynn were the difference.

Sam Kelly played very well and made some great plays even though he was shadowed most of the night. I can see why both Kelly/Gorowsky are Mr. Hockey nominees, they could give the award to either one and it would be okay by me. As another post mentioned put Kelly on Centennial and WOW! But my thinking is put those to together at a D1 level and man what a line and from what I am hearing this might happen.

Hill just couldn't get a goal from another line as they did against WBL and not converting on the 5-3 killed them. The MVP of the game was James Fangle, what an effort, oh, by the way the net was off on the disallowed goal and called correctly on appeal to the MHSHL-3AA official on sight, its his call and can review video. Good Luck Centennial they'll be fun to watch.

Thanks for the classy post! Your school and program are impressive and should be proud of themselves! They beat WBL twice! then gave Moorhead and Cent the battles of their lives- not many teams can say that.

I m proud to be part of Sec 3AA hockey and have always enjoyed watching the games even without Cent. over the years your team has supplied more than a few high quality teams with tourney appearances.

Good luck next year and once again thanks for the mature discussions over the past few weeks.

stutz
once again my point is proven about stutz. He is an ok goalie playing on an unreal team. he got so lucky at the end of the game, rolling around just letting the puck hit him and having his defense do all the work.

Thanks for the props and the various words of wisdom you contstantly provided on this board. As an alum & someone still very involved in their athletic program, I'm proud of the season the boys had & the way the played down the stretch. The Hill/WB game this year just added another chapter to the story that is Hill/WB and the Cent game showed their grit when it was apparant they were outmatched skill wise. This board is wonderful when people use it as it was intended. To share thoughts & information, without getting out of hand. I realize that most of the "childish" stuff provided on here was in fact, provided by young kids (or at least I hope it was). I kinda take for granted how lucky we are to live in a State where people are passionate about high school sports and we are fortunate to be able to participate as fans in one of the greatest high school tournaments in the country. We all have our own experiences & stories about participating and/or following high school hockey & we all share a similiar passion for the game. For those traveling into St. Paul for the games, I wish safe travel & I hope that this year's hockey experience creates more wonderful memories for us all.

I'd have to say so I heard that in that last scrum the puck was out in the open on the goal line for like 3-4 sec. Heard it from a guy on the ice. doesn't matter though good luck cougars and sec. 3aa

Re: stutz
Stutz apparently made the comment that the puck hit his pads 4 different times during that scrum. I have seen the tape of the game which showed Cascalenda being denied on a point blank shot by Stutz's toe save. Oh what might have been. But the better team won and Hill walked away giving it everything they had.
