centennial out in first round
centennial out in first round
i have seen centennial play several times this season and although they have solid skaters and gorowsky, who is the man, they have the worst goalie in the tourney who, when is tested by aha, is going to crumble under pressure. not only is this the most overrated goalie in hs hockey(due to the best defensive line in hs hockey) but he lacks the skill of a b1 bantam. that is why centennial is out(in a high scoring game) first round to aha.

Don't worry, Bbengal will be long gone from this message board after the Spuds destroy his beloved Elks on Thursday night. He'll run and hide like the little girl he is.

AHA
I believe that AHA will win the game, due to the fact that Centennial beat AHA 4-3 earlier in the year, from coming from behind, though Hillen was not there as he was playing in the Major Junior Tournament and Hillen definitely has a big effect on a game defensively and offensively and Stutz may not be the worst goalie in the tournament he does not match up to Sophomore Keton Smith of AHA. AHA has two solid lines and a decent thirld line also 3 very strong defenseman who will all play D! Hillen (already going to CC), Hummel who made Waterloo in the USHL last year and was drafted 7th by Sioux City in the USHL under 18 Draft, and Eric Johnson who already made NTDP last year but decided to stay at AHA. For forwards Mike Taylor is going to Harvard for hockey, Mike Carmen a sophomore will go D1 and is invited to try out for NTDP also Barriball another sophomore invited to try out for NTDP is tied in points with Taylor then Hawkins who is little but crafty and can hit will make a great D3 player Trevor Bruess a talented HS player and Jason Gomez who ahs Junior potential. Centennial is in for a wake up, I say 5-3 AHA wins.

Re: potato head
HAHAHA!!! I guess I really ruffled your feathers with that one, huh? Keep talking like you are. Mitch or Lee will bounce you right off this board in no time.

Oh, by the way, every time you open your big flap about how great your Elks are and how they're going to beat Moorhead, I'll be there to throw it back in your ugly face, rookie. So, no, I won't stop commenting on your posts because it obviously has you all riled up. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Re: potato head
I will agree I feel that AHA wil win this one. But for anyone to say that Centennials goalie is compared to Bantam B1 is just plain crazy. They are there in the big show, and he is a vital part of the team. My reasoning for AHA to win is more because there is no pressure, everyone feels Centennial wins. They have been down this road before and know what it takes to win in the big show, and they have a proven coach who knows how to motivate and control his team. They play as a team, win as a team and yes, lose as a team. Someone said that Centennial has the best D in the state, I have to disagree. AHA has Hillen, enough said, with his partner Johnson. Hummel who is a Big threat on the ice, with his partner Mike Krempa who does not get the recognition he deserves. Then they have Cooper who was an excellant addition when Hillen was playing with the USA team, and Gullickson who was also a good filler. I believe he is out hurt, too bad. As far as offense, well lets just run the gambit. Taylor, Hawkins and Barriball nice numbers all the way around. Bruess, Gomez and Carmen probably the best number two line in the state. The rest of the team is a great supporting cast. Goalies may not be the best in the state, but they are solid and ready. Side note, Hawkins plays like Howells did and Howells is at Michigan State. Between him and Carman and Barriball I do not think there are three harder working forwards in the state. Should be a great game all the way, it is just too bad that they have to play in the afternoon.
Good luck to both teams. There I have rambled enough.

Hagemo is playing at USNTDP, he'll be a Gopher next year.

Re: centennial out in first round
i would have to say aha probably has the most unstable goalies in the tourney. but they have the best coach and i look forward to trebil completely outcoaching his counterpart in this one. the question is: does centenniel have enough player depth and player smarts to overcome trebil? i think they do, but this is still a toss up...

Centennial out in first round
I agree with you on that one Hubba. AHA's goalies will need to stand on their heads to win.
