Orono-Hibbing game

Post by puckster10 »

I'm surprised there is no thread here about this game, actually it seems a fairly good game. Maybe all the team's fans are at the X.

Anyway here's a thread, so far its 2-2, with a little over 1 minute remaining in the 2nd period.
Puckster

www.wildpuck.com

Hibbing - Orono

Post by 4checker »

Thanks for keeping us updated, puckster.
Gotta give props to that Hibbing bunch. They make up for their lack of a lot of things with great hockey-sense and heart. The Walters boys are fun to watch. Didn't think they'd hang with Orono, but some teams just don't pay much attention to what should happen. They play some great programs throughout the year, it really prepares them the way it looks.

I really wasn't going to watch the game, especially since I left the X before these teams even took the ice for warmups, but they hooked me in.

Still 3-2 Orono, 10:29 left, and about 30 seconds left on a Hibbing PP.
Puckster

www.wildpuck.com

Short-handed Orono goal, puts them up 4-2. Nice goal, classic 2 on one play. The kid who scored it has the hat trick.
Puckster

www.wildpuck.com

off side

Maybe it's just my old eyes.

Hibbing came to the line and the left winger was off-side. They stopped but the linesmand sasid good and Orono cleared the puck that's when Walters was coming back up ice nad lost the puck and Orono scored.

It was clearly offside with no call and the play goes the other way for a score on the turnover.

Great game to watch, Hibbing went hard the whole game. The difference looked like Orono was a little deeper, but the Blue Jackets gave it all they had. Nice come back by orono the first goal of the game was soft, and it would have been easy to quit after the second goal to make it 2-0 but they went hard and sealed the deal. Good luck against breck tomorrow.
