No way in...anywhere should this kid win it. When we played them this year, the finalists had just been announced. After the first period, I had to check the roster to see which one was supposed to be their great player. Uh-uh. Not Goligoski.

Mr Hockey rigged?

Post by Mucker »

To grman45- Do you honestly think Mark Henry and J.J. are Mr. Hockey candidates? Third and fourth lines are where they belong. As far as Stejskal for the award in 2007, he has a long way to go. He 's not bad defensively, but until his footspeed gets much better he'll never become much of an offensive threat. And to topshelf, you play on Roseau, in the game you're talking about, you guys were down 4-0 early in the 2nd period. Rather than checking rosters, maybe you should have concentrated on playing better hockey.

Who ever gets it out of the finalist does deserve the award. My pick is Alex Goligoski for two reasons not since Mike Crowley has there been a high school kid who can read the ice as well as him. Ask Duluth East they will tell you that as they used a great skeem to bottle Alex most of the night. Mike Crowley had a very star studded cast to play with as well. Alex does not have as deep a cast around him. The kid can read the ice and anticipate better than most any high school kid I have seen play the game. Great hands great feet and there are many in this state that will change their opinion of him after watching him for 4 years in maroon and gold.
As for Stejskal in 2007 not if he does not find a top end , I think Joe will be your big bopper on the blue line as he is already 6 feet.

Mr. Hockey

Congratulations to all Mn. H.S. hockey teams, another great year. It's now that time when all the individual awards come out. This one I believe is announced today. All the finalists are deserving. Good luck to all.

Deserving

Post by jr »

Obviously all the finalists are really deserving.

After seeing Gorowsky gut out multiple injuries during the playoffs to help lead his team to the title I would love to see him win the award. Tom will have surgery on Wednesday. Good luck to all finalists!
