Give me a break, they play teams like rogers and buffalo.

All the regulars here will see your post as rather humorous since they had to play one of the toughest non conference schedules around, win the very tough and tradition dominated section 3AA, then shut down the entire tourney by allowing few quality shots and stifling forechecking.

By the way, T.G was playing with serious injuries which would sideline many kids- read the other threads regarding that.

You sound like a sore loser just jealous of a hard working and highly talented kid- by the way just ask slapshooter who finally broke through for two goals against Moorhead in the first matchup between us and them.

So go ahead and wallow in your misery and see ya next year <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Blackhawk,

Centennial was 6-0 vs. teams #2-#4 in the state. They also won 11 more games vs. other state tourney participants, section finalists and semi finalists. This team proved over and over that they were the best. Gorowsky got the award and there is nothing you can do about it other than spew negativity.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

blackhawk, dude, settle down. If he's Mr. Hockey even when you obviously dont think he should have received it, then you have no influence on who receives it now, or who ever will. And you probably never will. My advice: give out your own award and maybe people will think your opinion matters if you carry any weight at all to your name and hockey knowledge.

mr hockey

watched gorowskey, hillen , taylor in the tournament. simply put, none of them come close to comparing to goligoski from grand rapids as a player. i don't care how hurt gorowskey was, he's a hack. uses his stick for too many other things than playing the game. hillens nowhere near as smooth and smart. taylor's the best of those three, but none hold a candle to goligoski. just ask don lucia.

Yeah I think that goligoski should have won in my personnal opinion, I don't think gorowsky is as good a player as he is. Gorowsky is kinda cheap too after watching him in three games at state. But I still cheered for centennial down there, cause everyone was chanting overrated, but the women from centennial were so damn hot!

nope

no way should he have won it it should have goen to hillen all the way, hillen is much more aof a complete player and has been for three years, gorowsky has onw good year playing decent teams, and he is a chissler anyway from what i hear, Hillen was mr hockey in my book

5 points in the State Tournament against the top 3 rated teams in state while playing with a hernia, among other injuries is a kid who can't score points against a top rated team, huh? Wow, if you wanted a user name about lines, maybe you should have used "dontknowthegoallinefromtheblue" - would've been much more fitting.

The most deserving candidate won. Hillen was obviously good, but Gorowsky was a difference maker on his team, and is a stand up kid off the ice, too.

I have something to say about this...ask Mike Taylor how many state titles and championship wins Gorowsky took from him over the years. He is the leader and that is what you need to win Championships! 2004 State Champs.

Mr Hockey Next year

Post by KnightsHockey04 »

I think Blake Wheeler will get it without a doubt next year and Centinnel will not repeat but congrats tom, he is hard working and deserving and i have had the chance to play him 2 in conference play and he is what he is cracked up to be!

I don't know that Blake Wheeler will get it next year. Remember, he attends a private school.

In 20 years of the Mr. Hockey award, no player from a private school has ever won. This year, seven of the 10 candidates were from private schools...but no winner.

Class AA

I think Wheeler would need to play on a "AA" team to be a serious consideration for the award. You cannot prove your the best playing at the "A" level. Regardless the list will be considerably stronger next year with the better talent in the junior class this year.

Here are the facts about Tom and his scoring blackhawk. Tom played in 30 games and I deleted all the conference games other than Totino to make you feel better. Here is the breakdown:

2 games against each of these teams for a total of 12.

Moorhead
Wayzata
Hol Angels
Hill Murray
Roseville
Totino Grace

1 game against each of these. 9 of these.

Duluth East
Armstrong
Elk River
Mounds View
Mayo
Blaine
Coon Rapids
Edina
WBL

That's a total of 21 games outside of the patsies in the conference. Tom had 54 pts in these games. That is over 2.5 pts. per game. If he played that type of schedule for 31 games he would have 80 or more points. This kid proved he can score against the best.
