goldy313, The only "backpeddling" going on around here are the 'broken record' types like y<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/sick.gif ALT=":x"> u who continuously insult and assault the fine folks of Section 8, A and AA, Class A in general, and the fine folks of the private schools throughout the state as you and petey1321 and your chronies have done as long as I've been a member of this forum and longer than that I hear. Remember pagestat2? Three of the top ten were Section 8 teams and you all blew a gasket when you saw that didn't ya? You ever see TRF?, EGF, LOW? St. Cloud Tech? or any of the rest of section 8 this season? Class A ranked high in the ratings and did as well in their performance and still you refuse to give them any real respect even though record attendance occured at the Xcel this year despite your efforts to squash Class A hockey in the minds of anyone foolish enough to take your word for it. You insult at the very least, half of the Minnesota High School Hockey league in doing so, and whatever it takes to expose the fallacy of your philosophy in regards to the same is part of what I'm here to do and it's been a ton of fun doing it. Maybe you and your chronies should have lobbied a little harder to get rid of me back in 2002 but you didn't, so here I am again. You've spent a lot of time trying to put your words in my mouth, and your actions in my deeds, and you were not alone, but I've had my eye on your misgivings from the start. Moorhead and Warroad were the best teams in the state Class A and AA this season and that is my opinion and despite the outcome of the state tourney, hasn't changed a bit! Lake of the Woods could have won it too but fortunately for Breck neither one had a chance to prove it. Good for Breck! A private school from which much time was spent over the years setting you and your chronies straight in regards to their value ( the private schools that is) to Minnesota High School Hockey and what they add to the quality of the league. You keep it up and there will be many more like me ready to teach you the respect for these programs that you have still yet to learn and if you continue to insist on the hard way, then the hard way it will be for you! I like Centennial! They play a great game but have failed to take away one iota of the Talent and Class from the Moorhead 'Spuds' and their program that I have sought to reveal to the finer folks of this great state of Minnesota and beyond. You don't like it? TOUGH! I've stayed away from this thread most of the year but I had to pitch in here. I'm not getting dragged into the pissing contest that seems to be so prevalent, but calling section 8A weak? That's all I need to know about goldy's true knowledge of Minnesota High School Hockey. Your ignorance is comparable to that of that Elk River fool who started to nice thread earlier this evening. Sheids, other than Warroad, of the teams in 8A give me one good quality win over a team that wasn't in section 8. You can't because there aren't any. The closest thing to one would be LOW over Virginia, but the rest lost to teams such as Armstrong, Bemidji and Kennedy, not exactly quailty opponents. That's largely due to the fact that they don't play anyone outside of their area. I understand why they don't, and don't have a problem with that. But that is a fact, there aren't any quality wins over anyone in that group. They road Moorhead and Warroads coattails to high Page2stat rankings, but that is the explanation of why they are rated so high, not that they are great teams. It's pure provincialism, nothing more. LOW may have been a great team, they had some close games against Warroad, but based on the rest of their schedule it is tough to say. EGF and TRF remind me of TCU, sure they beat the teams in their conference, but as soon as they left that world they didn't fair so well.

What difference does it make? Strong section, weak section, Warroad was a good team and had a great season. Warroad played Moorhead to a 4-2 game.

The Class A vs Class AA section 8 'Championship' game! Moorhead 4 (barely), Warroad 2 ....( back on January 24th, 2004 at the 'Gardens' )...... That's right packerboy! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> Warroad hit the pipe at least twice, and Moorhead hit it once, and it was 3 to 2 down to the wire until Moorhead hit the 'empty netter' from mid-ice with seconds left to play. One of the best, if not THE BEST, game(s) of the entire season! The AA state Championship had nothin' on this game! Thats the way to fire back SS. The train may have been bombed but it will get fixed and be back on track in no time. Last year, the Catholics didnt listen and started the wrong goalie. This year ,the engineer (a/k/a slappy jones) screws up and the train takes a wrong turn and gets derailed(narrowly missing Tom Reids in the process). Cetennial ends up winning just as joe predicted when he told is to hide the women and children last November and declaring that it would be a miracle if anyone else won. Whataya gonna do?

Too bad nobody wants to give him the credit he deserves. Stutz was perfect in the nets also, but there are more than a few that seem to be choking praise his way as they should gratefully be doing. The major should have been a minor but that's the way ah huh ah huh the 'cidiots' like it ah huh ah huh! The refs put the screws to Warroad in at least four different ways in the quarter final and the one game that Eades would have been totally justified in raising hell he declined from doing so, except for one or two times. #1. There was no cross check committed by the Warroad Defender that gave Orono the first man advantage that set up their first goal of the game! The guy tripped over Sorrells and dragged the Warroad defender with him. #2. No penalty was called against Orono for Boarding from behind when that kid from Orono creamed the Warroad player against the boards from behind. #3. No penalty for running over Sorrells after he clearly froze the puck about ten feet in front of his net. #4. No penalty for crashing Sorrells head into the pipes in overtime was called against Orono when it was clear that no Warroad defender drove the Orono skater into Sorrells on that play. #5. You could argue a hook by the Warroad defender to the Orono attackers right hand but the Orono kid had the puck on his stick when his stick was knocked from his left hand in what I would argue was an excellent defensive recovery move on the Warroad defenders part after allowing the Orono skater past him. Oshie was right in arguing the point with the ref but I guess Eades didn't want Oshie in the box too. #6. While it wasn't the best game of the year for Warroad timing wise, they still played great but listening to Lou Nanny Granny you would think that Orono totally Dominated the Warriors which was far from the truth of the matter. Warroad had many more quality chances but were just a hair off the mark and the poke check by Oronos goalie on Oshie was just one of several examples. It was Sorrells who knocked in the game winner and not the great 'one handed shot' that Lou Nanny Granny had claimed it to be. Lou Granny Nanny kept babbling about what he was used to seeing Warroad do, that they supposedly were not doing, even though he was watching Warroads Warriors for the first time of the 2003-2004 season. Orono got lucky! It's as simple as that, and they proved that with their pathetic performance against Breck! Warroad will be back next year, as will the 'Spuds' and the rest best prepare! As for 2004-2005? The Section 8 'Greats' will Dominate A and AA......<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> Even better than they did this year. Well, bluesbuddy has once again put it all together. I have long suspected that their have been members of Al Queda navigating these waters. scheids316 for example is a prime suspect as he has been implicated in the dissappearance of the Blaine trophy and other acts of terrorism involving hair pieces. Not to mention flying paper airplanes. Ill bet if those people from Blaine show up with the bulldozer, they'd dig up more than just the trophy. Yup, they'd find those weapons of mass destruction that my old pal W cant seem to come up with. Way to alert us to this issue BB.

So,.....its deeper than I thought. Slappy was probably concerned about a terrorist kidnapping so he stayed at the intersection of 59 and 2 near the banks of that directionally challenged River. Much safer then by the Mississippi unless its near Brainerd. Speaking of which, where is the Videoman? Coupled with the mysterious disappearance of Clueless.... Id say we should be at least at level orange. Have you noticed that we never see Angus and BIAFP at the same time? Way too fishy for a thirsty day.
