oldtimers...........

Post by unsunghero83 »

It has been many years since the lovely people of I.Falls have been able to enjoy watching their own "bruiser," engaged in battle on the ice at Bronco Arena! Well wait no longer people, this weekend he returns once again to patrol the frozen pond of Bronco Arena! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

I'll be playing in that tourney. I wouldn't say it's an old timers tourney. There are 3 classes: the open class, 30 and over class and 40 and over class. I'll be playing in the open class. It was a blast last year. I think that there are going to be a record number of teams this year. I want to say like 30 teams. It should be fun! There's some good hockey there so be ready!

I was not aware of any heros on the '83 Broncos - song or unsong.
And the only bruiser I can think of could hardly skate.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... liott70 at: 3/17/04 2:18 pm

Don't let the '83 fool you...........you might want to think back to any members that played on the late 70's Bronco teams to figure this one out. Let's just say that Todd Pavleck use to call me, "Sir!"<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Did you happen to just get a new pair of skates sent to you to get you to come out or retirement?

tournament

Post by yahoo »

There is a "old timers" tournament in Roseau the last weekend in March. Last year was its first year and went over pretty well. Just a few names in that one from last year: Bill Lund, Busty Erickson(I think) & Aaron Broten. Many other past Rams & Warriors were in the tournament as well...

Should be another fun tournament!

I have to clarify a few things here. The Bruiser use to box Neil Sheehy's ears before every practice, the Mason twins were everyones little sisters, the bruiser followed Jimmy Lundquist out East and played for his college cross town rival and "Milty" was something that the bruiser used to wipe himself on occasion! Al Cleveland still can't spell his name correctly since the Bruiser had him counting support beams on the ceiling of the Hibbing Arena and Scott and Kurt Kleindendorst, along with their little side kick, Stevie Anderson, use to beg the bruiser to take them along with him when he went to the Cape on the weekends! I can't wait to lace them up again tomorrow in the old home town!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

TOURNEY

UNSUNGHERO83 I HOPE WE DON'T HAVE A REPEAT PERFORMANCE THAT HAPPENED OUT IN THE AREA OF WEST/CENTRAL MINN. THE BEER WILL BE COLD AND THE HOCKEY HOT. SO ANYONE IN THE I FALLS AREA SHOULD CHECK THIS GROWING EVENT OUT AND HELP OUT THE CAUSE, FOR THE HOCKEY PLAYING KIDS/ATHLETES.

The biggest and funnest part of the weekend has to be the spaghetti feed and raffle giveaways at the Elk's Club.

After college, the Bruiser went over seas to polish up on his french and pound on a few frenchmen, before returning to the Falls to assist his friends and former coaches Johnny "Bud" Prettyman and the one and only "Burnsy!"<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

There was a Gordon kid but the only 'bruising' he did was the back of the net.

The Bruiser also played with a guy that moved to Las Vegas for a short period of time to be a Billy Idol impersonator, moved back to Minnesota after having a sex change operation and becoming a WCHA referee and now is the Webmaster for a well established bank.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> BIFP............ever heard of this guy?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... ghero83 at: 3/18/04 2:24 pm
