sorry elliott70......you're right! You're also right about the legend living on! I'm assuming the big gathering is Saturday night, but I'm not sure, this is the first time back for this huge event! Oh!.....the Bruiser will be signing autographs for a brief period after each event, proceeds will be going to the "Help the Bruisers little brother lose weight" fund!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

chubby little brother

Post by elliott70 »

If his name is Marc and is a better deer hunter than his big brother - well then I may just have to drive north this weekend.

it'll be interesting to see how the broncos are next year. you'll have fisher bahr and maybe bolstad maybe wilson first line? and then sears wilson/bolstad and hagen and then from there on out its jv or sophmores i think. and for d theres bigler, veeder and holenko and i dont know who else, it will be interesting 7a champs drew section 3 in the tourney so hopefully the falls will pull one one off or hibbing or hermantown.. it will be interesting again.

7a will be a dog fight but the Falls will have the upper hand if Loken keeps improving.
I see the Falls and Hibbing just becasue of goal tending (and Hibbing has Shea Walters back).
Virginia's Niskanen is one of the best in the state but can't do it by himself.
Not sure what Hermantown has coming back but Bantam team should put some good kids on the varsity.
Evelth will be questionable.
Silver Bay has their best back led by Downey.
No other teams should challenge.

eveleths program isnt that strong coming up, although our bantam a's lost to theirs 3-1 in districts after beating them 6-2 already, but they have the babichs coming back so that should help, We played hermantowns bantam a's at our home tournament and they are definetly a skilled team, the score was like 6-4 or 7-5 i cant remember i was out with mono at the time and that was the first game i missed. hibbing will be good and shea is a great player it will definetly be interesting to see how he does with his brother. I'm not sure if he'll lead his team to state again though, hermantown will be tough with ryan schmidt and a few others coming back, virginia will be tough again with poderzay and niskanen, 7a will be a dog fight again.

Just so you all know this is a fundraiser, no prize money for the winning teams in each division, all the money goes to help Kerry Park improvements, and the youth hockey. As for the raffles and dinner it is at about 6 pm or so at the Elks, big spaghetti feed, tons of prizes. Should be a fun time had by all.

Tourney

Post by 5hole35 »

Tourney was a huge success- lots of money raised and fun had by all. "The Godfather" was on the winning team in his division, even though the Godmother wasn't there to see his stylish moves throughout the weekend, but his children and relatives were there en masse, some as far as from Rochester to witness his brilliance.

Unsung's performance??!!

Post by hardhitter77 »

I have to comment on unsung's spectacular performance this weekend. He displayed all the "right moves" he practiced with his DL JV this past season. However, his lovely wife's pre-WeFest meal last summer is still a level above anything he could dream of demonstrating on ice. But, rumor has it, he is a perfect 10 in previous gymnastics performances of years gone by... Maybe he was a bit younger... The old guys can still play the game, just not for the entire 50 minutes! And that shootout, boys... It was awesome!
