re: Mr. Hockey Next Year
Columbus from Rapids could have a chance next year if he works hard and racks up the points.

Re: joke i get it
nisky and oshie are my top 2..if drew walters would have been a junior this year, and played with shea walters again this year, then i think that shea would be a good canadite..well see next year if shea can handle it without his big brother

Mr. Hockey
If everyone stays in high school the top 2 will be Anderson and Wheeler. This class has a good group of defenseman ( Lee, Amerman, Nisaken, Connelly and Anderson), but the one that sticks out among the defense is Anderson with his ability to put the puck in the net. Mr. Hockey is picked by pro and college scouts and i believe Anderson and Wheeler will be the most highly regarded by the scouts. If wheeler stays at breck one more year it will be a toss up between him and Anderson.

I would have to concur
Wheeler is the highest rated forward in this class by the NHL and Anderson is the highest rated defenseman in this class by the NHL. They should be two of the frontrunners. I think Wheeler will be gone and a defenseman will win it. Has the same school ever had back to back Mr. Hockey winners?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

I dont see how anyone is not talking about Rau from Ep, he's easily going to be in the top 5 forwards for next year. You cant make a list and not have him on there...

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... ockey55 at: 3/21/04 11:42 pm

Back to Back
Back to Back Mr Hockey...
Jefferson's
Nick Checco - 93
Mike Crolwey - 94
and then in 95 Mike Anderson and Mark Parrish got 2nd and 4rd but lost to Spehar. Spehar = bum, Parrish has played in the NHL all-star game already.

I think Jefferson has had the most Mr Hockey candidates since 1990.
Checco, LaFluer - 93
Crowley - 94
Anderson, Parrish - 95
Brooks - 96 (Hergert might have been one?)
Duncan, Gilbert - 00
Peterson - 03
Probably have forgot some too...

Mr. Hockey
And the winner of the 2005 Mr. Hockey award is Blake Wheeler!

Other finalists are:
RJ Anderson
Brian Lee
TJ Oshie

RJ doesn't get it because of Tom Gorowsky getting it this year. Can't do two Centennial kids in a row.
Lee and Oshie won't get it because they are not playing hockey for a "Twin Town" team, unless Wheeler goes to Juniors.
Then it will go to Brian Lee. Great player, sees the whole ice and never gives up the puck.
Would loved to see Wheeler play in the tourny against Centennial, Moorhead, Wayzata, Holy Angels.

D-man
A D-Man will win the award next year. I believe Wheeler will be gone or he would make a strong run as well.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">
