Vandevelde is the man
Vandevelde is the man
Although Moorhead lost in the championship AGAIN I thought Chris Vandevelde had one hell of a tournament especially against East. He didnt really receive a lot of recognition before the tournament but now I think people definitely know who he is. Who do you think will have the most impact next year at UND Oshie, Lee, or Vandevelde?

I said back in December my vote for Mr. Hockey would go to Vandy, and it hasn't changed. I think he's head and shoulders above any other forward in the state. Oshie included.

Re: Vandevelde is the man
Vandevelde was playing AA and Oshie was playing A to me AA looks like a lot harder competition then A so I would have to say Vandy also

Lee
I think Lee will be the most influential of those 3. I really don't like the Souix-idge though

100th post for benc14 <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Re: Lee
Lee is a solid defenseman. The most solid in the state by far. Excellent fundamentals, tremendous upside. That said, he's still not a lock for the NHL. I think it says something about Minnesota hockey by making him "Mr. Hockey". And it won't put fans in the stands...

Re: Lee
i think their all playing one year of juniors before they go, atleast that's the case for VandeVelde for sure, Lee will be playing in Lincoln with Vandy, but i dont know for how long i dont believe that any of them will be playing for the sioux next year.

Re: Lee
It doesnt matter what they do at the sioux because everyone will be watching the gophers' kessel and wheeler. Anyways from what i saw vandevalde will be the best of that trio he has the size and dominated the play whenever he was out there and always created scoring chances while lee was pretty non-existant and oshie will have a tough adjustment from playing single A competition. It still doesnt matter because the gopher dynasty is just picking up steam and they will be left behind.

Re: Lee
Playing juniors will help Oshie get adjusted, it seems to me Gordon made the jump to D-1 pretty nicely. Oshie should be no different.
Good Teams Would be Nothin without Good Water.....

Re: Lee
Oshie is a great player but I dont think he will have the most success I think Lee will but I think vandevelde has more skills but lee is a very smart player. I dunno its very hard to say right now Im just gonna say its a toss up with all three.
