yeah, i was reading the pioneer press online like i do every morning because im out of town for school and was pissed they had no names attached to the bios. pretty disappointing if you are like me and don't know a lot of the players who match up to the bios.

I'm sure Niskanen is meant to be listed as a defenseman, that way there are 12 forwards, 6 D, and 2 goalies

I see at least two poor choices.

-Zach Faust. He had one of the states best set of defensemen in front of him all year. Without them, Faust is your typical goalie. The state tourney proved that.....
-C.J. Wilms. This kid gets suspended for doing drugs, and they still select him to the all state team. Not something I would do...

IMO, Kangas should have replaced Faust. Kangas was outstanding this year, it's too bad he wasn't picked.

Faust went 18 minutes without a shot. It's impossible to stay sharp when your offense dominates like that. Ask Deutz and Hittle.

That having been said, I'm shocked Kangas didn't make it either.

Hillfan, i agree with you somewhat. People are only not liking faust because he played poorly in state and are forgeting about the regular season. The rest of the season he played awesome, 3 straight shutouts GAA under 2 for the entire season. Faust with a decent defense would still be a great goalie. Kangas is a heck of a goalie im surprised he didnt make it.
The curse lives on.....

I don't have anything against Faust, I saw he played well in the section final, under some pressure. Just someone like Kangas should deserve it more, like some have said.

Kangas got ripped off probably just becuase its southern minnesota hockey or even some of the Albert Lea kids could have made it over Ambroz.

I think Ambroz deserved all state he has over 200 career points with nobody to play with. And he stayed at his own school when he could have left numerous times. give the kid some credit. pick on somebody else.

Yeah I agree, Ambroz should be on the team. Willms NSP was suspended for drugs, shouldn't be on the team!

All-state

Ambroz definitely deserves to be on that team. He was basically the team. I think Kangas and Richards should have been the goalies. I know Kangas showed he deserves it. Richards had the bad game, but i don't think any of the goals were 100 feet from the net.
