hey, shutout, Fergus Falls smoked Willmar 6-2, the one with DL got canceled...........

70 players is a hell of a lot, maybe that state tourney apearance spurred some excitement. That is a lot even for Fergus.......they have had to combine with Breckenridge WHapeton for house leagues before, probably more as a benefit for WHap, but still, 70.......

And the coaches they have teaching these kids are doing a bang up job !! I just turned into a hockey dad this year , and I am impressed with the program they run here . Alot better than we had in Fargo when I was playing , but thats a few years ago !! How would you know that everyone on this page is sick of me, you only have 7 posts. Ive been on here now for 2 years, and you about 2 weeks maybe. And Im not a prick towards just anyone, just people that I notice saying stupid things, or those wimpy cry baby ya yas. Everyone on here has team pride for whom they are pulling for, and we all rip on everyone eventually, so grab a towel, wipe your tears and tuff it out, this isnt basketball you know. On a hockey note, hope Wadena does well in these next few games, Little Falls is coming up so someone better speak up and gets those boys to start passing the puck a little better, not every team is a CIA you cant skate through a quality team, but you can pass by them. Maybe the captain should go phycho like Mike Lawson in 2000 and make everyone get their heads out of their you know what, and start playing like a team.

Amen, salty................judging by the number of posts to most of the LF supporter's credit, I'd say that there are either a lot of fair weather fans over there, or they finally figured out what a computer is, I'd guess it's the fair weather fans type thing being that there have been LF supporter's on here before...
It would really make things interesting if Wadena beats Little Falls, very possible and would completely throw the top three into a mess............Right now, I put them at Little Falls, Fergus Falls and Wadena, though at this point everyone is so close it doesn't matter accept to say that these are the three favorites. In any night any of these three teams could beat the other 6-2, or 3-2, or tie eachother, it depends on who is having the good game.......gear up for the long stretch to end the season and probably the most interesting Section 4a race ever......

i think the teams go as follows:

LF-great offensive threat with lickteig and festler, along with a good second line of younger kids, but their third line and defense will hurt them greatly...the defense are slow!

FF-always well coached and work hard, they have pretty equal lines...but no one person to step up and take over a game IMO. they are decent defensively, and i dont know too much about their goalies.

WDC-IMO the most well rounded through the first 2 lines. first and second lines on offense are both good, and their 2 lines of d i might say are the top 2 lines on any team for defense in the section. their goalie has been playing well and leads the section in statistics right now.

Time will tell how each team ends up, but im excited to get into the thick of the section schedule. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

geez, you guys sure like to talk trash on here....pretty fricken hilarious if you ask me...I watched LF vs. Jamestown, and the only reason you guys got the chance to win was pretty of your crappy hometown refs...yeah they had a few injuries, but the refs were bunch of bs...no way they deserve "combat pay"...yeah in the army...and from a girls point of view, i'm pretty sure the only way you guys managed to win, was because LF had to play cheap..probably slip in a few $20s to the refs so you could get some calls your way. Yeah, Jamestown likes to hit, but i mean, come on if you can't take it don't play the game...and i'm pretty sure..the game ended because the LF goalie jumped on a Jamestown player...and what was with the refs ending the game then...LF scared their goalie might have gotten kicked out?...wait that's right, it was in LF, why would that ever happen??...Yeah, and i'm pretty sure..they had no idea who this felster kid was...it looked like they were just playing their game, and cheap is not the way...i have seen them play before and they play hard...oo yeah, this goes out the LF JV team...pretty darn sure you guys got schooled by a one armed kid...haha, that kid is awesome, he'd kick your guys' butt anyday!!

The refs were not from Little Falls they were from brainerd and by the way the Jamestown coach took his kids off the ice they gave up, they left, they quit the refs were too scared to call the game as well. Maybe you should stick to girls hockey. By the way just click on scoring leaders and you will see who Festler is #2 on the scoring list. Jamestown was terrible and their coach was very unfriendly.

wow just one of many people that should stay off this message board. nice try to blame little falls and the refs, what a sure sign you have no clue what you are saying, i read that the shots were 50 to 20 that my little snapperhead16 is a a** kicking, maybe you should goto the mall and get your nails done or stay home next hockey game but please don't think for one min. you know anything about hockey from the commits you made, please goto walden books and pick up a copy of hockey for dummies read up and i will see you at the mall.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

haha yeah your really funny...pretty sure i've played hockey since i was 3...so i do know quite a bit about hockey..yeah it is pretty dumb to blame refs for it, but what i saw..was not very good..i ref soccer..yeah it's not the same game...but all sports officials have to maintain standards and try to be the best they can and know as many rules as possible...sometimes they make mistakes..but they then review their mistakes from the book to try to make themselves better...and as far as i was concerned about it..there was no way they tried to perfect themselves as referees...if it was one of their first games reffing..i could see that to be an explaination...but i'm sure they have reffed many games in Minnesota..so they should be pretty good by now....i know i may be a girl, but that don't mean i'm dumb at hockey. But hey, your idea about going to the mall and getting my nails done isn't a bad idea...as long as your payin!...they could use a nice manicure.

Blame the refs, blah blah blah.........festler is #2 blah....
another argument for the youngsters of the board.......

Anyway, Fergus has their Iron Range trip this weekend, Friday at Eveleth and Saturday at Greenway, should be fun....both tough teams, and tough places to play, shoudl be a good measuring stick on the start of the season stretch wich is were they need ot prove themselves and improve if they are doing anything this year.
How is LF and Wadena doing, what does their week look like...................?????
the Otters had a couple nice wins, FS and Willmar, are trying ot get going on a three game unbeaten streak and should learn a lot this weekend. They will probably end up in the middle of the conference and look to get back on track in continuing the evil empire dynasty in section 4. Looks to me like the Wolverines will continue to dominate their conference another championship in site and possibly prove some people wrong this year....The Flyers look continue on a romp and probably second or third in their conference , they should be ready for a playoff run and we'll see if they can change their luck of the VIkings.........

I'm not trying to start a fight here, but how come wadsville can't schedule anyone a little bit better? prairie center, cia, etc...is it their AD? Do they just not want to play anyone good or what? Once again it's not a slam on the team because they have nothing to do w/ it. I'm just wondering.

If a team was never any good, if they are a young program without any success, no one good will schedule them. You'll notice that last year they had mid-state conference foe DL twice, Crookston, and Fergus as pretty decent games, since their state tournement appearance they were able to keep Crookston this year, (they did beat them last year) and added Eveleth and Greenway, as well as having Fergus Falls, Detoit Lakes twice and Little Falls. Not a heavy schedule by any means, but an improvement. They will probably NEVER have a schedule like a solid program should unless someday they dump the Mid-State........or else CIA turns into a real power<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> .........probably not. Of course as we have learned in this section, teams do improve. I never would've thought that DL would EVER not be the Mid-State champion and now they have competition, not only wiht Wadena but PR too..............just some thoughts, how'd Wadena do tonight????

Wadena scores with two seconds left in overtime to defeat Park Rapids. The game lacked a lot of flow though. Each team seemed to control the game for minutes at a time, but getting into each others end was ugly.

But a win is a win. WDC is at Prairie Center on Saturday.

hey salt, your smaller brother set up the game winner for wadena tonight a perpect pass to wolden for a perfect shot in the net. 2.8 secs left. Great game.Pr stayed out of the box and hench were a good team. Oh and happy birthday old timer! Wadenas scedule improvements added virgina and eleleth plus a sceond game with little falls as well as a decent st paul hawks team, Crookston every year now, Your right old school it takes a couple good years to get good teams to play you. And i hear pr lost a close one to low so they are no slouches either. Probably took warroad a few years to get where they are also.
