When is the 4a seeding mtg? LF gets to take on WDC on Friday but I thought the mtg was before that. Somebody please post as soon as you hear results. Probably pretty well set in most minds anyway. Any key games tonight that could change anybody's way of thinking? <p></p><i></i>

There are a couple 3rd and 4th place banners up....from way back in the day... Sorry... When one of the teams that you all are predicting to be in the finals (WDC) tied prairie centre area 1-1 and the other (LF) lost to DETROIT LAKES 5-1...it's pretty weak...Sorry...it's a joke...<br><br>2 Years ago Detroit Lakes swept Fergus Falls...Fergus went through their section like a hot knife through melted butter and Detroit Lakes was killed 8-1 in the first round of the 8A tourney...Sounds strong to me. <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... fpack85</A> at: 2/8/05 11:41 pm<br></i>

4a isn't exactly a powerhouse. fungus falls ruled because there was nobody with sharp enough skates to snow the goalie. those days are ending because the fliers are circling overhead like a vulture seeking fresh kill. word is they will be feeding well for many a year. <p></p><i></i>

Did not see or hear the FF game last nite but good to see them come back from down 2-0. Who was in net? Sounded like the WDC-Willmar game was pretty physical. Apparently the refs missed a Willmar goal and a couple of their fans came unglued. I heard that one of them grabbed a ref by the shirt and started giving him crap. Finally was escorted out. Anybody at the game that can confirm that? Enlighten us please. <p></p><i></i>

Fergus came out very slow last night against North. The goalie for Fergus was Joe Kalar, and his first period was not impressive. Throughout the game he let in 2 horrible goals, but he picked it up after about half way through the second and played solid throughout the rest of the game. Fergus was not putting away their chances which almost cost them the game. <p></p><i></i>

Whose this wolfpack clown anyway and why would anybody from 4A give a crap about his opinion. The 4A section may not be the powerhouse of the state now but it is up and coming. Wadena's first trip to the State Tournament last year was a big deal and showed the section is improving, Fergus Falls has represented 4A well and has nothing to apologize for, Sauk Centre/Long Prairie is improving quickly, and Little Falls not only has a decent team this year, their youth program has been playing with and beating most of AA schools they've faced including metro and up north. I was at the game last night and the puck never crossed the goal line. Hit the inside of the far post and came back out. I had a good view of it as I was standing behind that goal.<br><br>As for the parents coming unglued, it happened, but nothing physical. One parent was escorted out due to having a very offending mouth and I heard he smelt like he had a few "beverages" before the game. The other parent was escorted out after getting to the officials between the second and third period and asked to "shake the hand of the worst official in the state". One of Willmar's coach even thought that was low class..... And yes, it was a physical game. <p></p><i></i>

The wadena willmar game last night was one of the most physical games i seen this year (and i've been to alot) the cards came out hittin hard, and the wolverines matched it.<br>The refs called off a goal for willmar that was most likely in. The fans blew up on this and a couple did get escorted out.<br>As far as the gameplay goes it was 0-0 after the first, 3-0 after the second, and 5-1 final. both teams played tough the first period, the second period the wolvs clearly dominated, and the third had its ups and downs for both sides, but wadena came out the victor.<br>i believe it was #13 for wadena who had two sticks broken over him in the game.....i wonder if he is ok, and if anyone got injured for that matter.<br>also i heard that the cards got a little upset after the game and trashed the locker or something, is this true?<br>-icewhole <p></p><i></i>

I was standing in the bleachers when the puck hit the pipe. From there it sure looked like a goal.<br><br>It bounced out kinda funny and play went on. The crazies from Wilmar were like 3 rows behind me and started screaming bloody murder. When the play stopped i think Wilmar got a bench minor because Wadena went on the power play and scored right a way. Then the crazies really got pissed. I think the call was bunk, but hey sh** happens. Wadena was hands down the better team and would have won 4-2 any way. <br><br>Also i saw LF in the house with their bright yellow hats and sweaters. I think Wadsvill puts a little fear in the flyers. <p></p><i></i>

As for the Cards trashing the locker room, I heard it was a mirror in the hall by the lockers. I'm sure Puckswerestones was there and probably elaborate a little for us. Hey Willmar fans, don't let one or two idiots give your whole bunch a bad rep. Refs will miss a call now & then. It happens, live with it but don't embarrass the rest of us. We don't care what one or two jerks do to themselves. I'm sure most of you just wanted to enjoy what was starting out to be agreat game!! <p></p><i></i>

Uninformed...I'm willing to bet I am more informed than many. Anyway, All I'm saying is it's not a strong section. As for doing damage...Go ahead and win a game, I'm not going to cheer against you. I really don't see how WDC going to state last year is showing how the section is improving. They had a group of seniors who had been playing together since mites. I'd expect them to roll through 4A. Yes I am a doubter. A HUGE doubter. I really don't see any way 4A will make any noise at the state tourney. I hear all you guys talking about how competitive 4A is. You're right. It's EXTREMELY competetive...Within the section that is. Outside 4A...you're in trouble. Seems like most of the teams you are all talking about (Willmar, Fargo North, etc...) are all pretty weak teams. Fargo North is even weak in North Dakota's EDC. I just really don't think that you should all expect people to respect 4A so much when the strength of schedule for all teams within the section is sooo weak. Last year WDC didn't even get credibility for having only one loss before the state tournament because they played teams like Crosby, Park Rapids, Pequot Lakes, etc... twice each. I don't want to hear another word about how "uninformed" I am. I know what's going on. Good luck at state though. <p></p><i></i>

obviously you don't have a clue, Fergus plays for the most part a very challenging schedule. They play teams like, TRF, Roseau, St. Cloud Tech, Fargo South, Eveleth, EGF, and Greenway all of these teams are very skilled and it seems that Fergus either wins or gives them a very good run for their money (usually a one goal game). So before you start saying teams in section 4a only play weak teams you should defiantly think again they play some of the best teams in the state of Minnesota for "A" hockey and seem to do just fine. <p></p><i></i>

Wadena, Willmar, Crosby-Ironton, Prairie Centre Area, Morris-Benson, and Pequot Lakes are all outside the top 100 in the pagestat rankings this year. They make up 75% of your section! I don't have a clue? Apparently it's those of you who don't know what's going on around you. Before you rant and rave about Fergus' tough schedule take a look outside your section and see what a tough schedule is. Most likely I will not be replying anymore to you people because I am losing interest. It's tough to talk hockey with people who don't know hockey and who consider Fargo South a formidable opponent. Like I said before. I'm not cheering against you and good luck at state. <p></p><i></i>

Bone head........what a moron...<br>Hey, MR INFORMED, sorry to burst your bubble, but, Fergus Falls has not played Pequote Lakes, Benson Morris, Prarie Centre, or CIA,.........nice try to get out of your little hole, but not good enough....Fergus Falls schedule included, 3 top 5 North Dakota teams, 4 decent aa teams, 3 top ten teams, about half of the teams they played were or are ranked above them.....they play in the Marriucci conference, all the mighty section 8 teams......and the only weak weak games they played were against Fargo Shanley wich werer more like practices....I know what is going on and what is going on is that section 4 is getting tougher. All this time ( through the history of section 4) Fergus has dominated mainly because of competition in the section however I could say with confidence that someone else's section was worse 5 of six years....Fergus only bowed out twice therefor beat at least one"tougher" section's champion..........(I also think that even though Ness choked, the defense let that little nitwit in way too far after playing such a perfect game).......... Now, Wadean, and Little Falls are catching up to Fergus Falls and the rest of the "big boys" they just don't have the experiense with the boys that Fergus does because they have never played them before...in youth hockye etc..... <p></p><i></i>

Fergus Falls and Fargo North tied even up in shots and everything.....not what I was expecting but I'll take a tie over a loss any day.....at least they had the guts to come back from 2 down and earn a tie...........this goalie had better figure his stuff out too if he is the one who is playing wich is what it looks like......<br>I believe section 4 should play section 2 in the state tournement quarter finals, ooooooooooo look who that is........whatever............<br>Fergus Falls ends their season at Theif River Falls this week......... <p></p><i></i>
