Grouping the Championship games
Grouping the Championship games
Would anyone one else like to see them move the class a championship game to 4:00 and group it with the class aa championship game. i know it presents a little bit more of a ticket hassle but it really kinda sucks for those people waiting in line for class aa tickets cuz they dont get to see all of the class a champ. game. in a year like this with the championship game being as good of a game as it is, its a shame people had to miss out.

Re: Grouping the Championship games
thats probably the worst idea ive ever heard first of all its not possible because of rule 6 of section 13 in the book of rules and second of all it would create a major problem for fans who are islamic because that is one of the 7 times of the day they pray to mecca

you can not be serious
Not to be insensitive but you have got to be joking about the Islamic comment...

Re: you can not be serious
Because they take that into consideration at a hockey game <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eeAGENT at: 3/10/05 6:52 am

Hockeydad
agreed. Except its not 4-6 thousand anymore, over the past 2 years its been closer to 8 thousand for the championship game for class A. I think this year one session (either the A championship or semi's) had just over 10,000.

Also, its perfect the way it is because a lot of people, like myself, like to watch the A championship game and then have plenty of time to head out and get a bite to eat (and some drinks<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D"> ) while taking their time getting back to catch maybe the end of the third place game before the AA championship.

4:00 isnt really prime time for a championship game. Neither is Noon I guess, but Noon and 7 work better for people.

Re: Hockeydad
The problem is that some schools, like Moorhead this year, make their fans stand in a ticket line, during the "A" championship game, to purchase "AA" 3rd place and championship tickets. I was in that line and would much rather have been at the "A" game.

Re: Hockeydad
And you dont think kids from the schools playing in the afternoon session (A and AA third place games) would want tickets to the A/AA championship games?

AA already sells out, unless they build a bigger stadium they cant group the championship games.

Re: Hockeydad
My point was to change the way tickets are sold, not to change the format of the games. Sorry for the confusion.

My fault
Misunderstanding. I stand by my reasons why the games should stay the way they are, but I agree there must be a lot of students that miss games to stand in line, especially like this year, when i'm sure several Moorhead fans would have liked to watch their section 8 partners play.

Re: My fault
Exactly. To make matters worse, the hotel we were in did NOT have any of the games on in the rooms. The hotel bar was the only place to watch the game, and I would have liked my kid to watch Warroad win it all, as well as any other games we couldn't make.
