Hurt Hibbing Kid

Post by fanofthegame »

Does anyone know what actually happened to that kid from Hibbing (#17), It looked like a knee injury. I hope he is doing okay.

Wow, so it was that serious. I saw them carry him off, and work on him on ice, and it looked like they had decided on the knee as the problem. That must've caused him a lot of pain. I wish him a speedy recovery, and if he's not a senior, hopefully he'll be skating again in a few months ready to try and get back to the tournament.

Ben Sartori

If the injuried player was #17 it is Ben Sartori, a senior who worked his butt off through the Hibbing hockey system. It's a shame that it happened to a kid like him, because you probably won't meet a better kid...he had zero talent, but through sweet and tears clawed his way up to the varsity team as a senior.

your right sotaninrussia Benny doesn;t have the most skill on the ice but he sure did alot of the grunt work.Everyone knows he put his heart and determination in everything he did on the ice. I would liek to congradulate Benny on his season he had this year and wish him a speedy recovery.

great job at state BLUEJACKETS!!

it was his knee

Ben didn't dislocate his hip it was his knee.I think he is suppossed to return home today. It was cool because there was a nice article written up in the hibbing news paper today. It was terrible that this happened in Bens last high school hockey game but he will be alright.
