where are ryan and oshie going to college?
where are ryan and oshie going to college?
Anyone know what their plans are? I assume that Mitch Ryan will go to UMD, but I have no basis for that assumption. I have no clue about TJ Oshie.

One can only hope they land in maroon and gold country next fall.

I have no idea if he is or not. I hope he ends up a Gopher <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Re: Ryan?
That sucks. All I know is that I saw that kid play last weekend and he was flat out incredible. He seems like a bit of a hot head, and doesn't seem to play much defense, but that could have just been the game I was watching. But he was fun to watch.

Another good one was Niskanen. I have never seen a team put a winger that close to the defensemen before while in the defensive zone. He already committed to UMD, though. Which, as a Gopher fan, isn't good <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p"> .

UMD
Word in duluth is that Mitch will be sitting down w/ UMD sometime soon and I would guess he would like that offer. I am guessing he will succeed wherever he chooses to go.

Re: UMD
I would love to see what Ryan could do in with a season in the USHL. If UMD is indeed interested, I wonder if they'll try to go the Nick Kemp route and get a commitment before the end of the season. The only thing is, assuming no one leaves early, UMD is only going to lose 2 forwards after next season (Stapleton/Williams). They have a commitment from USHL's Mitch Kerns (although the way his season has gone he may end up being axed) and I know they are waiting for a commitment from another USHLer for that season. I could definately see them making a partial offer to Ryan with the promise that should a player leave or they decide to drop Kerns they'll ante up more cash (assuming he has a productive USHL season).
