Who do you think is the best hockey association in the past 5 -10 years?

WBL needs a lot to be desired in emphasizing HEP to their parents.
At a Bantam B tournament in Rochester last February, the language
used by some of the WBL parents was embarrasingly R rated. This group of parents would not even sit with the rest of their own fans - they were probably ostercized early in the season.
The Fridley tournament was represented by someone who certainly lost
the 'friendly' profile.
Fargo is a great place to play hockey in. Most Northern MN towns are
also tradition rich and welcoming. Mankato puts on some nice tournaments.
As far as the TC area, Edina and it's parents do have class even when
confronted with a serious situation from a player or two. They do handle
incidents well and expect explemplory behavior from players, parents
and coaches.
Minnetonka shines very well in this regard also.
Rochester along with most associations in D8 need to reprogram their
refs so they're not so predictable in calling for the home team.
Champlin Park has been doing a lot with what they have lately.
Wayzata as an association, could outshine them all with some effort.
OMAG needs to clean house and put some folks in place without hidden
agendas as do a lot of associations.
Johnson and Como, many kudos for all you do.

This was more than likely J.Hauswirth and yes he has been ostercized long ago.

Maybe the WBL association should ban him from games then. I would even suggest they may have something in their by-laws that could suspend his membership for his behavior. If the WBL board doesn't take
action of that nature they will never get good grades for best association.

Depends....
If the criteria for "Best Association" is purely based on wins, then I think you guys have pretty well covered the wagon. However, I think there is more to a successful organization than wins and losses. Any association that is financially healthy, has growing membership, is looked up to in the community, provides opportunities for those less fortunate and consistently develops kids into quality student/athletes can be considered successful.
My vote for "Best Association" would be for a community like Roseau. They seem to thrive year in and year out... despite being in an area of the state that has been up and down economically.

Centennial
In recent years it's Centennial without a question.
Pee Wee A's: Have appeared in 7 of the last 8 State Tourneys.
Champs 2005
Bantams A's: Champs in 2001
Runner Up 2003
Runner Up 2005
Champs 2006
Add in a couple of VFW titles and no other program has that type of success at the Pee Wee and Bantam level.

I'll agree with Grand Rapids and Roseau. These are places that for the most part compete every year. I put Edina and Duluth East into that grouping too. It is interesting to see different communities make a run for the title, Centennial, WBL, EP, Burnsville and Jefferson in the past, and Johnson before that. However, Edina has been a consistant power in the South, and Roseau has been a consistant power from the North. Two communities that couldn't be any different.
