Hey Elliot, is a new plan going to pass or just more talk? Thanks

A new plan is in place for next year.

Discussion of changing the new plan or modfying or going ack to the old will take place in 2 and a 1/2 weeks in Albertville at the state meeting.

I do not have it right it front of me, but it goes like this

4 separate regions, 3 teams from 2 districts and 2 from a third district (this will rotate).
Next year (2007) IR, 16 & 15 will play in one region.

Each region will send 2 teams to state.

The region format will be pool play with cross-over games 1 vs 2 and 2 vs 1 from each pool.

Each year the region combination of districts will change.
2008 - (just an example because I do not remember) 15, 16 & 5 will compete for 2 spots at state. 15, 16, 10, IR(12) and 5 are basically in a group.

With the new district 13 proposal, the arrangement will change in 2007.

There are people that want it changed back to gold & maroon and silver.
And then there are variations of proposals. Change the maroon to more like the gold with pool play etc.... eliminate silver and add D13 and D4 to a south metro area and add 5 with the north etc, etc....

My guess is we will keep the new or go back entirely to the old (with maroon making some massages to their's).
