Has anybody else noticed a massive disparity between metro refs and outstate refs? The metro refs for the most part seem to let the boys play, call the right penalties, listen to players with questions/concerns and actually enjoy the game. The outstate zebras, on the other hand, seem to be angry and looking for power by reffing junior gold hockey. From giving make up calls, to calling goals that hit the goalie and bounce straight out, to telling a coach that he is "out of line" for asking a question about the rules and later telling him to "shut up" after they call a penalty on a kid that got halled down on a breakaway. I don't know if anybody else has seen it, maybe i am just crazy and ranting. <p></p><i></i>
