Anoka (0) @ Roseville (6)

We outshot Anoka more than 4 to 1, and thier goalie was standing on his head. Game wasnt even as close as the score.

Next game is tuesday nigth vs. Edina and im a little worried after i read in LPH, that edina beat hastings in the proctor championship.

SSP Vs. Lakeville
SSP 4, Lakeville 0, we out skated them the whole game, we got up by 2 they started getting cheap and we started getting power plays..... 5 seconds left in the game, face of in our zone, lakeville kid turns around and shoots the puck right into our bench at our coach..... then when game was over they didnt shake our hands just skated off the ice. what a great team they have (sarcastic)
SSP Captain #13

lakeville
tonight we beat lakeville 4-0. i have to say the refs down there need to look through a rulebook because they gave lakeville a time-out so we took advantage of that and took one too. what a joke! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> lakeville needs to learn some respect and sportsmanship because both the times we played them they got just dirty towards the end. and whoever shot that puck at our bench should die because he couldve scored a goal. what a loser. hope we see u in the playoffs, it would turn out the same SSP over lakeville.
SSP CAPTAIN #19

Scores
First, a couple of meaningless scores . . .
EP Black (Eight) vs. Hopkins (1)
EP Black (12) vs. Forest Lake (0)

Apparently F-Lake was short a lot of players due to some fighting with MView-White. SLP games
Saturday 1/24/04
SLP 1 @ Roseville 6
First Congrads CoachGuy and Roseville you really did take it to us...well in the first period especially. Losing to you 6-1 does say something about your program/team. Good Job. It was nice to meet you and have a chance to talk abit both before and after the game.

Sunday 1/25/04
SLP 4 Vs Burnsville 3
On another hand, on Sunday Park played Burnsville in SLP. This really was a good game. Park came out and took a 3-0 lead, but Burnsville came back to score 2 real quick ones in the second period. Park had the 3-2 lead going into the 3rd, but B'ville scored to tie it up 3-3. B'ville had a couple of really good scoring chances to pull ahead with under 5 mins to play, but then again so did Park. Each team was stuffed more than once on break away opportunities. With 19 secs remaining Park put home the game winner on a shot from the point that went lower corner. I don't think the B'ville goalie even saw it, being he was screened so well. B'VilleJrGold, It was really nice to meet you before the game and have a chance to talk for awhile.

Congrats SLP
That's great! Hard work pays off against a quality opponent. Great job, SLiPper! A game to be proud of. I am sure Coach Brandon in Bville is probably pretty frustrated with his string, but they are still a good team and will be a challenge when healthy around playoff time. Keep 'em positive and motivated in Bville.

CoachGuy, if your silver and black (and blue and yellow <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> ) plays the way it is capable, you will do just fine against Edina. Speaking with their coach, he tells me this is not one of the stonger Edina teams he has had over the years. Obviously, it is a program where kids play hockey from the time they can pee, much like Rville, so they have kids who can skate, shoot and score, but they haven't been playing outstanding. Good luck!

re: congrats SLP
Nice job SLP! I didn't see it but it sounded exciting v Bville. Your squad should feel good about that one. Perhaps that is a building block on your run to the MHL playoffs! We all hope to see Park there. I am guessing that you are in need of a "run" to get to that 12th spot.

Re: re: congrats SLP
Us coaches feel that we would need to go atleast 7-4 in our remaining 11 games to have a shot at the playoffs (with a little help). That might barely get us a 12th seed.
Our Remaining schedule:
Armstrong, @ Forest Lake, @ BAA, Elk River, @ Edina, @ Centennial, MV-Green, Brooklyn Park, EP-Red, @ MV-White, and Wessy's.

I firmly believe that if we can go 8-3 that should get us into the playoffs. Winning 8 games with a schedule like this would be quit an accomplishment in itself. I think the big things that hurt us were the Losses to Wayzata and WB-Black as well as the ties against Hopkins, NSP and Buffalo. We just did not play up to par during those games and it may cost us a spot in the playoffs.

I'm feeling yeah..
Let's see, from what I've seen from SLP and the rest I can predict wins over Arm, FLake, BAA(you better), both MVs, BPark and Wessy's. If you could pull a W from somewhere in 1 of those other 4 games with the Elks, Edina, Cen & EP Red. You'll have a shot. That's a taller task than that of Tonka's schedule, as discussed prior...

ER @ Rave
ER was missing a few of their best players and started out with their backup goalie in net. Big Mistake. Their goalie let in 3 out of about 4 shots right away. After this, he was pulled and they put their starter in. If they would've never put their backup in to begin with, I think ER would've easily had this game.

Re: Rave vs Tartan
So am I reading these correctly?
Rave beat both Tartan and Elk River?

Well that puts a damper on SLP's playoff analogy.

Also, do we know what happened between B'ville & WBL-Black last night?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... h@mnhs>SLP Coach at: 1/27/04 8:39 am

BVILLE VS WB BLK
Tie 2-2.

Again we struggled to put two full lines on the ice. Our best player was back and had both goals. 3 of or top 5 scores were gone. This is getting rediculous. We NEED to be full strength in order to get back to where we were. One positive was the effort last night. Our guys played pretty hard they just kind of ran out of gas with it being a 60 minute game. Good to have our captian back in action. We scrimmage Hastings again on Thursday. Should be fun.
BVILLE

hockey
looks like maybe RAVE is for real. They seem to be very inconsistent, but can really play hockey.
In another note, in my opinion, burnsville is probably the biggest group of thugs that i have ever seen. They have many players with a lot of talent, but most of these same players are huge headcases, including the ones that were not allowed to try out for other teams.
-I mean, what did the sprinkler head do to you Jeremy
Also, who is the bville captain?

It's too bad...
That Tartan and Elk River don't have a spokesperson here, otherwise we might get an answer about why they both lost to RAVE? Great job "cowboy" you must have really rallied your troops. You were really getting savaged yesterday, but perhaps you have teammates that helped you out! That's why we love this league. Some nights are fun to watch!

Re: hockey
In regards to the B'ville=Thugs comment

Ya know, I don't really personally know any of the players on the B'ville team. But, I can tell you that when we played them this past weekend, I didn't see anything of the sort. Sure, there were some penalties, tight matchups there always are. Of course the player that "lost it" and took it out on the sprinkler was not playing that game. But there were still 12-15 other players that showed up to play and classifying them as Thugs seems to be a little over-board.

This is a classic example on how one bad apple can ruin the bunch. Well, in this case the reputation of the bunch.

I'd just like to say, that will the exception of the one player, I have heard nothing bad about Burnsville's Hockey Team. I don't think it is fair to the other players to put them in that same catagory.

just my $.02

GET A CLUE! First of all, please explain to me how we are a bunch of thugs. I'll explain it to you like I explained it to Ravecowboys dumb ass, we had ONE player who acted up, needless to say, he is not playing until he goes before metro hockey league. By the way, nice top ten on the other page. That might have been the worst top ten I've ever seen. Get a clue before you start talking about my team. What team do you play for or coach? Let's start talking about you.

Another pair-o-pennies
I have to agree with SLiPper about Burnsville being an overall classy bunch. Matter of fact, we know one had a love affair with the sprinkler head because the COACH told us, not from hearsay. When I watched them play EP Black - a clean team itself - the entire game was very clean. There were a total of 4 penalties in the game (3 Bville, 1 EP) and although one player on Bville got 2 of their 3 penalties and was their "cheapest" player, his actions were generally during play and more annoying than harmful. He also resorted to much of his funny-business after they got behind and deflated.

Moral of the story - play clean and your opponent will too (sorta).

Bottom line: Burnsville has no more or less thugs than the average Junior Gold B team in MN.

Gentlemen...
...why are we even entertaining this kinda bunk? These turds are trying to get our goat and we - yes, even the Rat here - are taking the bait (or in my case cheese)

Burnsville, EP, Tonka, SLP even Roseville, Tartan & SSP are quality programs. If there is a bad apple then he's in the right league - 'cause they don't tolerate that at the HS level!

Let's try to ignore the banter from the clowns <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

thugs
thugs are great for the game, i was a thug and i love thugs

b'ville
i was refering to about 5-7 kids on the team that are complete nutcases. I know for a fact that all of these kids have had run-ins with the police in the last 18 months, and i don't mean traffic tickets.
also, my top ten list is an my prospective, as a player, as to which teams deserve to be there and if anyone would care to glance at the standings they are pretty close.

yet another huh?
Your top ten is close to the standings like Rosie O'Donnell is close to 100 pounds! If you care to see my opinion on your top ten then read that thread...
