From way back on Dec-14, yet still missing from the league website . . .
F. Lake (Eight) vs. Anoka (3) [at least that's what Anoka says]

From tonight:
Anoka (0) vs EP Black . . . . . . . . . . (2).
60 min game. Shots were 40-1 for EP. That's right, one. Never seen a team dominate a game so much and look so gawd awful doing it.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... bserver at: 2/12/04 8:31 am

Forest Lake
I have a very hard time believeing that FLake scored 8 goals in one game. But, anything is possible i guess. The website probably doesn't have the score, because FLake doesn't know that they need to fax the scores in if they win. Or maybe they don't even have fax machines up there in the "great white north."

It's too bad the FLake doesn't get a chance to Mahtomedi at all this year. I think that would be a great matchup.

Score
Burnsville - 2
Chaska - 2

I'm still trying to figure out where we went wrong last night. It seemed like we had the game under control coming into the third period. We were up 2-0 and playing pretty well. We came into the third a little flat-footed and gave up two quick ones. Both goalies stood on their heads. It was a fun game to watch just not the outcome we were looking for. But, I guess a point is a point if I want to be optimistic. Time to tune up for a weekend of B.P. , Tartan, and W.B. Orange 3 days straight.
BVILLE

There's a whole lot of ties around here...
First off, thanks SLiPper! That works for me. I did say a W would win you and yours a dinner out - take her out anyway just use CoachGuy's credit card! Both "Parks" (No, not Richard)must have played well and had some help from their G-men.

Bville- it looks as though ya'll took the 3rd period off and Chaska can sneak up and grab a point from anyone. Everyone who plays the Hawks next: knock them down and step on their head - otherwise, they'll get up and grab your n&%s!! You Blaze fellas better get up for a big 3-game stretch coming up or you are going to be looking at the 8th spot!

For all you Tartan lovers / haters out there. Here is the skinny on these guys: They all can flat out finish when given turnovers and opportunities! In attendance at their beating of Tonka last eve, I witnessed at least 7 players out for various reasons including their coach (who looks a little like one of those guys from Hockey Falls -nice mullet). That left 2 lines and 4 D to play a scrambled Tonka squad whose players had trouble getting to Tartan Main for a 7:15pm tilt. Now, I am not saying that Tartan's "better" skaters were all out but the ones who played last night were tiny. But as I stated these guys pass & skate very well and shoot from everywhere! Nice job to those skaters who played, but watch out for the tougher teams in the playoffs. Unless you have Jeremy Roenick (a tough, scoring player) in the stands - it might be 2 or 3 and out for you all!!

The Rat needs some cheese!

credit
i cant even take myself out to dinner on my credit card! But looks like this race keeps getting tighter and tighter. We have gained 5 points since our record was last updated in the MHL standings...putting us one game ahead of RAVE i believe.

Current (?) standings
Based on my little homemade spreadsheet program and scores form the board, the league site and various team sites, this is what I have for records as of 2/11/04. This particular list is sorted in order of losses and ties. Keep in mind you can't all win out, because some of you play each other.

W L T
Eden Prairie Red 17 2 0
Elk River 20 2 1
Eden Prairie Black 19 2 1
Tartan 19 2 1
Burnsville 15 2 2
White Bear Lake Orange 14 3 3
Roseville 14 4 4
Centennial 16 5 0
RAVE 16 6 1
Edina 13 6 2
White Bear Lake Black 11 6 3
Minnetonka 13 8 1
Brooklyn Park 9 8 3
Wayzata 8 9 3
Moundsview Green 9 10 2
Armstrong 8 11 2
Chaska 8 11 3
St. Louis Park 6 11 5
Hopkins 8 12 2
North St. Paul 5 14 6
Wessy's Boys 3 15 0
Anoka 3 15 2
Osseo 2 16 1
Buffalo 3 16 2
BAA 2 16 2
Moundsview White 2 17 0
Forest Lake 1 17 0
Mahtomedi 0 18 0

Good, but...
...not quite good enough, MNOGYN!

Since the MHL standings go by Points, then Head 2 Head goal differential, then overall PF/PA ratio. This would mean your rankings are just for grins <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

The Rave-sters are behind Rose-rs by one point, yes, and also ahead of Cen-ten-ers due to what I call "Actual Differential" - Which is the NEW rule regarding goal differential. Meaning: you can beat a team (such as Forest Lake and Mahtomedi - poor kids) 12 or 18 to 0 and still only have a 6 goal differential in "Actual Differential". Recalculate and wake me up!

Rat
Rat gave a nice summary of the Tartan-Tonka game, but I wonder if he was really there. 'At least 7 players out for various reasons'??? A bit high on the guess. Coach out too??? Another bad guess, since he was on the bench. One last comment: I saw 5 Jeremy Roenicks in Tartan jackets watching from the stands.

I wonder who wrote the book of love???
TartanDude,
You could be right, there might have been only 3 or 5 Tartan players out, but it looked like more. Could've been friends or even varsity guys who came to watch. No, I was there and I saw a guy with red "mullet" hair that looked to be in charge of your team. If he was on your bench, then I am mistaken. There was just so many people there with Tartan jackets and mullets that I must have got them confused...do you all go to the same barber?

Let's re-cap what I did see: Small, shifty Titans moving around and taking shots from everywhere and a Tonka team that didn't know what to do. It's too bad - it could have been a much better game. Good luck TD! (you'll need it)

Even after that mele infront of our net, several of them stood at center ice after the game and shook hands....Very Classy. I gained a lot of respect for those who chose to do that.

BUT!

And to help answer the letterman jackets in the crowd question....they had about 4 guys who are just mouths up in the stands who were hangin over the glass and just running thier mouths and did a great job of getting opposing teams (roseville) heads out of the game. I love Mullets More!
Thanks Mr. Observer - you have given me the clear picture that I already had! I appreciate the update but I have my own up-to-date spreadsheet that is similar - OK the same - as the one you posted!

(I got awoken for that?)

Mullet Mania
There's definitely a lot of mullets running around Tartan's arena. I gotta give the best hockey hair award to Buffalo's goalie, though.

Definitely a lot of small players on Tartan's team too, but they sure do move. By the time the playoffs come around their average height should grow about 12 inches.
What's with Tartan anyway - lots of small players on all of their teams and coaches with mullets? Someone put them out of their misery!

Well...
Who are you TartanDude?

Also, I go see the doctor tomorrow morning. I'm hoping she'll let me play on Saturday against Burnsville, it'll be a big game. I feel fine, I would have liked to have started skating yesterday but my mother wouldn't let me till I see the doc so if I play Saturday it'll be with not practicing in the past 2 and a half weeks. The doctor primarily said 6 weeks off though so that would mean the rest of the season but nothing is sore at all, I really feel near 100%. There's no way I'm missing Playoffs though. We'll see how it goes tomorrow...

Re: Well...
Did you get your apendix removed? Sounded like pretty scarey stuff!

Scar-Belly
MJB-

Hope it goes well for you at the doctor tomorrow. The Tiny Titans need you.

Re: Scar-Belly
Still didnt answer the who are you part of his post! Sounded like a player at first, and now we cant tell!

Yes...
...I got it removed the night I went to the hospital. It was near rupturing according to the CT scan, and sure enough it was very inflammed when they removed it and examined it in the lab. If it would have ruptured my season would most definately be over, and I'd more than likely still be in the hospital, plus it would be one of the worst pains I've ever experienced. I wasn't scared at all really about the surgery, I was glad the problem was being taken care of finally because over the past 2 years it's flared up 3 times.
