Rochester Tourney

Post by CoachGuy »

We had a good weekend down in the rochester tourney. We had a double OT game against Rochester Red, but lost 3-2, then beat Mounds View White 5-4, and then beat lakeville 4-3. Tartan is the real deal they were beating one of the eden prarie teams in the title game after smoking MV 13-0<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> and then handling rochester red 9-2. Rochester Red took third beating a White bear team, and rochester white beat mounds view 2-1 in the 7th place game.

After seeing some scores from www.metrohockeyleague.com and seeing some teams this weekend my rankings are as so:

1. Tartan
2. Burnsville
3. EP red
4. Rochester Red
5. White Bear Black

Think it would be fun to see what other people think about the teams they're playing so feel free to rank em as you see em!

lakeville

how did Lakeville look? They took second last year in district 8. I didnt know how they would be this year because before last year they had been a horrible team and always at the bottom.

All I really know is that WBL - Black beat Lakeville in the first game of the Tourney. Not sure of the score, but just got off the phone my WBL - Black 'B' source.

"It looks like Tartan is the team to beat this year."

WBL-Black lost to Rochester in the 3rd place game (not sure of score there either).

Outstanding players

Post by Hockeyguy34 »

Someone asked earlier about outstanding players--from Rochester. The Rochester Red goaltender is outstanding. He is a former varsity goalie from one of their local High Schools and I saw him play against Tartan and he made something like 48 saves. I guess he didnt make the High School team because of some of that "political" stuff they have going on in Rochster. He probably would have gone far like college or what-not had he been allowed to keep playing but instead he ended up on the Jr. Gold team. If any of you get a chance, watch this kid play.
