The seedings look good.

I know its of fthe thread but where will Carlton be placed? Will they be placed into the D8 seedings or will they be thrown into the metro seedings.

Rumor had it there was also a team from Brainerd and Red lake Falls? Any idea if they exist and where they would/could be placed.

Sorry to be off the thread...

Yeah, there is a team from Red Wood Falls. They play a half of a varsity schedule I think. They're alright, I guess. I'm not sure about the team from Brainerd, But there is also a team from Albert Lea. Anyone else know of more greater Minnesota teams?

Re: ...
8 teams are given a chance to be one win and in from the metro league. There are two teams from D8 .The third place team from D8, a tourney winner from outstate competition, the losers of the "win and in" scenario and teams 9-12 in the seedings then play off for the final two spots in "regions" for the JGB.

playoffs
Just got the playoff (IN THE MAIL) format this year for Jr gold B teams. Its a little different from last year. If I read it correctly... their is no 1 and dones for the MHL teams 1-12, which is the way I believe it should be. 1 PLAYS 12, 2 vs 11 and so on. 1st and 2nd place teams from d-8 go straight to state along with somthing called Gold region. I assume thats the teams from the outer state...carlton and others.
If I count right, thats 5 from the MHL league and 3 from outside the MHL that go to state. I'm not sure if I agree with that thought, but atleast some teams aren't paying $250 for 1 game.
Should be interesting, especially with HEP points probably filling spots 10-12 in the MHL. Anyway.... Good luck to all!!!!

playoffs
D8 only gets 2 which is fine with me thats all we deserve. The only thing i dont agree with is that one of out state team gets a bid. The out state winner always had to have a play-in game against the 3rd place D8 winner or a metro team.

Re: MHL playoff seedings for JGB
1st By no means worried about Carlton!

2nd Trying to figure out how teams will be seeded through playoffs.

3rd Reading the High school website, the one above and there was mention of the Bates kid was playing for East and then not. I heard he was in WBL, people in the JR. gold community talk, and I was trying to figure this out.

I really do not care if he plays or not: I did say that I found it curious that he was playing Duluth East in Early January 2005 and now he shows up in WBL. How did the coach get him registered prior to the 12/31/04 deadline that ALL of MN Hockey youth teams have to follow.

If he was registered prior to this, my apologies.

outside teams
I heard that the outside teams are Redwood Falls, Buffalo, and Carlton.

Albert Lea will be going through our playoffs. Hastings and Woodbury should be the teams coming out of D8. We have changed our playoffs though. The team that wins the 3rd place game will play the runner-up for the seed to go to state now. With this change i still dont see anyone moving on besides Hastings and Woodbury.

Re: outside teams
i dont know how our coach got bates signed up ... but he is on our team and all ..... i also heard Duluth was getting goalies after the deadline ? is that true .... ? cuz our coach i think was talkin about that complaining cuz we dont even have a goalie (carlton) because he is just a fill in cuz we dont have one

Outstate teams
Freighttrain, Buffalo is in the MHL, and should make it into Playoffs. The only outstate ( neither MHL or District 8 ) teams I can think of would be Carlton and Redwood Falls. Not sure if Grand Rapids has a B team, I'm Pretty sure they field an A team
