Bring'em on. Junior Gold A needs more quality teams in the MN Metro League and outstate independents, Every year there are about 14 good teams and then it drops off fast after that. Would be nice if it was closer to 25 good programs. Have always enjoyed playing in tournaments loaded with N/S Dakota and Wis Varsity or JV teams.

It wouldn't behoove the metro league at all, also what are the other 6 teams in ND going to do for games if they loose those two. Also to be qutie direct, Grand Forks is a B team not an A team. If you haven't seen them play trust me on this one. But the metro league will be loosing on medium caliber team next year, Lakeville will be done with Jr Gold all together would be my guess. (opening a new high school with aq new Varsity and JV teams).

Lakeville should still have one Junior gold team next year. Most likely a B team playing in district 8.

Re: NEW TEAMS TO MINNESOTA?
If grand forks comes to minnesota we are all screwed. they are so good arent they weiss. they can kill anyone team and i could easily say they are the best jg team in the nation.

Re: NEW TEAMS TO MINNESOTA?
I hope you are not talking the Stallions from Grand Forks? Best JG team in the nation?

mhaggs - WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Or go to bed earlier.

I welcome more teams to Minnesota but the state tournament should only include MN teams. MN hockey should allow teams to play JV or High school teams. Or JG should be classified under the High school league.

In regards to Lakeville, I would think they could still get a JGA team - the high school team at the old school and new school will not be competitive and will struggle to win games. Seniors could see this and make a jump to JGA.

Re: NEW TEAMS TO MINNESOTA?
well they r going to have one, but the junior gold director is going to push for an A team... they will have at least 3 returning A players as well as a few B returners
