Wayzata is supperior to ever other team...The rest of the league should get on their knees when they are in the presence of wayzata. I heard they smashed the Minnetonka tourney champ trophy to make a statement that they are not to be messed with.. I don't know how they can win with a coach that looks like eddy in christmas vacation and the guy from the hemi commercials<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> .

the rest of the league should quit now cuz the Three-peat is inevitable<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... hamps09 at: 12/20/04 12:28 pm

if they are so good why did they only beat 4th ranked jefferson by a late game goal and jefferson just lost to centennial. congrats if they do but if there so stacked why arent they #1?

duluth

Post by minn05 »

you know the funny thing is that noone ever thinks of the teams that come from up north. look at duluth. they came down not knowing what they were getting themselves into, and came out with 2nd place. thats not bad at all. yeah maybe wayzeta did walk all over them, but the duluth team kept their heads on them, and took the loss as it came. their goalie came off a huge 1st game with a triple overtime win 4-3 to Lakeville also getting outshot 48 to 23. in the championship he didnt have any help from defense and again got outshot 31-12 with final score 5-3. i think that this is gonna be a state team again this year, but like any other team they just need to learn each others style of play, and become to form as one. watch this team this year, i think they will go far.

I agree the Kernz & Kompany Duluth Jr A team looks solid. They also got the kid from East HS who left the team due to the Randolph incident. With him I think Duluth shoots to a #1 ranking here pretty quick!

wayzata

Post by bauer05 »

maybe duluth did lose. but that wayzata goalie was looking in the stars. i mean, he had 12 shots the whole game and saved 9. not that impressive if you ask me. i watched from the stands and he couldnt stop a beachball. if duluth would have tested him with a few more shots, they would have taken the ship. but congrats to the whole wayzata team for keeping the duluth forwards out of the zone and not giving up to many shots.

first i would just like to say thanks, not only to bauer05 but to everybody who give us respect. i am on the duluth team and that probably was one of the best games i played in, as a former duluth east bantum b-1 from last year i can tell you those was better than any of the games i played in.

The entire tournament our forwards didnt really have that chemistry untill late, and with 8 defence it was challenging too. But we are also very fortunate to have 2 very talented goalies between the pipes. To your question bauer05, who is he? His name is chase thomas, he is supossed to be the varsity goalie for cloquet-esko-carlton (CEC) high school team, but due to some coaches conflicts he decided it wasnt worth it and now plays with us. Our other goalie, who played during the edina game because chase has other conflicts is a guy named rickey, he didnt try out for any hockey team, but he is an outstanding goaltender when he steps it up.

Watch out for Centennial, they beat jefferson 3-1 tied edina 3-3(should have won) they have solid defense, fast forwards, solid goaltending, they've gotten all there fair play points. they will be a contender in the last season

Keep an eye on TC Wessy's Boys. The goalie is a class athlete from Holy Angels. He could help most HS teams. They have two other players with varsity experience from HA and also 3 Hill-Murray players that should be varsity. They lost two games to Wayzata, 2-1 and 3-1, both shortened because the refs didn't want to put in a few minutes extra to let them finish the games. Team is made up of all Holy Angels, Hill-Murray, and one Cretin kid. They also won the Frago tourney. They'll be around at the end of the year.

I doubt that wessys boys has that many varsity caliber players for holy angels and hill-murray..Wayzata has only 2 players that have varsity experience or could have made the wayzata varsity team this year and they clearly outplayed wessys boys twice, you can talk about the games ending early but the fact is they got outplayed...

Wayzata is good, no doubt. We'll see what happens if they meet again and get to play a full game.

Time Limit on Games

Post by Hockeyguy44 »

All Jr. Gold games have a time limit, which the officials have been instructed to strictly go by. For a 90 minute game, the time limit is 100 minutes (90 minutes game time and 10 minutes resurfacing) for a 60 minute game, there is a 60 minute time limit. This has nothing to do with the officials not wanting to put in a few extra minutes.
