If you thinking they made a mistake by taking centennial instead of wayzata i thikn your wrong.<br><br>Centennial beat wayzata 3 out of 4 times they played in the regular season, twice at Plymouth. Lost to them in Regional game to get to state 2-1, could have gone either way. Then had an unfortunate loss to MV to get into state, MV scored 2 goals in last 3 minutes of game off of a shoulder pad and off of one of our own players stick.<br><br>I'm not taking anything away from Wayzata for winning state but Centennial deserved this just as much. <p></p><i></i>

It seems as though you are trying to take something away from the Wayzata and give something to Centennial. I think that it is wrong of you to do so. Wayzata won the state tourney and centennial didn't even make it to the state tourney. Wayzata beat the Edina and Eden Prairie whilst winning the state title and they beat centennial the last time they played them at regionals. The game could've gone either way but in the end Wayzata just outworked centennial and played a better game than centenial did. Some might speculate that Wayzata was a different team than when centennial beat them the 3 times. You also failed to say that Wayzata beat centennial at Plymouth. And to defend centennial's loss to MV as too bad for centennial and not to say congrats to MV is also a bad thing to say. Goodguy20, you are wrong.... <p></p><i></i>

The teams were selected before the state tournament. The idea is to send representative teams to this tournament and to try and rotate who goes.Last year it was White Bear and Eden Prairie and Blaine was added when a Montana team dropped out.This year the Metro was asked to send 3 teams and at the time of the decision Centennial was in 4th place.If you have issues contact your representative to the Metro Hockey league or stop by Braemer on Wednesday and look for a member of the MHL to talk to. <p></p><i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... beard58</A> at: 3/15/05 10:40 pm<br></i>

The Minnkota Cup is just another invitational tournament. It does not, never has and may never be attended by the true top teams from Minnesota because they are picked before the MN season has ended. <p></p><i></i>

The Minnkota Cup is a great tournament and a great honor to be invited to. Not every team can go because it may interfere with their spring break. I think that is why Wayzata is not going.<br><br>EP & Edina are two of the three top teams Pole Sucker..................I mean Stick Licker. Lakeville proved it is not. teams are invited based on standings, many teams are on spring break. There was talk of possibly moving the tournament to the holiday season. As for who should be invited? Take your pick, whens the last time Wayzata, Edina or EP sucked at Jr Gold A? Even though you were at the tourney you lost both your games, did you not? I was busy winning another state championship so I didnt have time to check.... But your team was a bunch of hacks, at least when we played you guys. You had 2 ref's who didnt know how to call anything until a lakeville guy wound-up and swung his stick ontop of the head of a Wayzata play like he was playing baseball on a simple offsides play.... <p></p><i></i>

I fail to understand why a team would win the state tournament and then take shots at everyone else after the season is done. You loose with class and win with class or in then end you are just another losser. EPFan, I never dissed you or EP. Calm down, it's just a game that you are to old to play anyways. As for Lakeville, they send 4 teams to State Tournaments this year. Sounds like they are doing just fine considering the first 15 years only one went. Richfield and Edison used to own Minnesota hockey. Wayzata, EP and Lakeville will some day be a joke just like they are now. Time will tell. As for the Wayzata boy getting a cheap shot from the Lakeville player. I was at that game. The Lakeville player was out of control but are you forgetting the but end and the cross check the Wayzata kid laid out earlier. It takes 2 to fight and the Wayzata boy was begging for it. Did he not throw off his helmet and gloves and ask for a fight. The ref had to grab him. That is an automatic Match penalty in the rule book. He is lucky to be still playing at all. Minnesota teams will finish 1, 2, 3.<br><br>Pick an order. Advantage to Edina and EP as they have been skating together but Centennial could be ready to skate. One of the MN teams will have an easier route to the final game. I would assume all 3 are not in the same bracket. The only non-minnesota team I think will cause a problem is ..............................................................................................Sioux Falls. <br><br>I go with Centennial to win the cup. <br><br>Good luck to all Minnesota teams. <p></p><i></i>
