Sorry Tuna

Post by SWPrez »

Tunavichy,

I am the SW President. SW/SLP coach is the coach of our co-oped PW A's.

One thing I have always found in my association is that 10% of the parents volunteer to make the organization better and do a heckuva job, 80% are supportive but don't step up to help the 10%, and the final 10% don't help out and are conspiracy theorists constantly trying to find some sort of conspiracy against the 10% that are just volunteering and trying to provide a nice program for your kid.

You have shown your colors with your post. SW Prez

I don't believe the first part but agree with the rest. 10% is probably to high though. Each organization has about 5 or 6 people that do everything.

tuna - believe what you want.
I TRUELY do not care.

I have been on these boards for 5 years.
I was the person who suggested/requested to have a youth forum.
My "name" on the old boards was SLP Coach.

If I could ever figure out how to log back in under that name, I probably would still be using that one.

Believe we are different people, or believe we are the same person.
I, personally, don't care.

Don't worry sw coach / prez, tuna has multi personal problems too.

Thank you for answering my questions about the D1/D3 issue. I've heard that there are problems with the D1 and I was wondering if you'd be more apt to stick it out or go over there. I think you guys do a good job coaching the kids, I wouldn't want to do it. I could only imagine how much work you put into being a leader at an orginization too.

I can't say anything good about G-Po, the thread got locked up.
I'll have to save my positive comments for another thread.

SLP/SW Coach,
It was good to see you again at the scheduling meeting at Edison Saturday.
I appologize for some of these posts I have seen on some of these boards from an individual from Johnson. Most of those posts are from one person trying to make you and us look bad. That person was in the room Saturday and is is just plain bitter because he did not get what he wanted for a coaching position this year. Rolling Stones song (You can't always get what you want). I think he just needs a big hug from the female!!!
Again I hope we can stay with you guys this year.
Good Luck!!!!!

Johnsonprez - It was good to see you, as well as others, at the Meeting on Saturday. I look forward to the fun season of hockey ahead.

Right when I left that meeting, I went to our scrimmage Vs Jefferson.
This was for their A Pool and they had 18 skaters there. 15 of those will be on the PWA team. We were short, with only 11 skaters for the first hour and 10 for the second hour.
Our boys did well against Jefferson. We did not really keep score or shots, but Mpls Park more than "held their own" in this one.

We play Centennial tonight, this should give us a better gauge as to where this team stands. We also just added scrimmages Vs Edina & Apple Valley for later this month.

Johnson pres or whoever else you are on this board,

will you check in with us when you are done this year?

We'll all need some laughs. I've laughed almost every time you speak. The words that come out are so funny.

I'm laughing right now.

Mpls Park Vs Centennial didn't go quite as well as I had hope.
There were quite a few positives, but the scoreboard did not show them.

Centennial 5 - Mpls Park 1

Centennial scored 4 Power Play goals, including 2 with a 5 on 3 Advantage.
In 5 on 5 play the game was even with a 1-1 score. Penalty Minutes were about even, but it showed that CEN has worked on their PP/PK, while MP has not touched it, being only 2 practices into the season. Shots were close, but CEN did outshoot MP by about 5.
Each team had 1 previous scrimmage with CEN tieing Eden Praire (Not sure of score) and MP beating Bloomington Jefferson (9-5).

Mpls Park's next scrimmage will be next week Vs Edina.

Sounds good.

You guys have some good teams lined up early. I would like to think that you can see what your kids have early in the season.

Does anyone else from the D1 pwa play scrimmages like this?
