Backing an Elk River guy.

Post by Off Sides »

Your definition of "backing my Elk River guy" is interesting as he has played at least two years of high school but not one game for the Elks. When does he become an Elk River guy?

a)The day he commits
b) the day he enrolls
c) the day he wears the Elks jersey for the first time?

Well I guess it either has to be a or b. I wasnt sure if c was correct until I saw Big_Thursts recent post.

I do give a little more credit to the Anoka guys who are backing their true Anoka guys!

OffSides: realistically does it matter when he feasibly becomes an 'elk river guy.' this question was clearly rhetorical, but why ask it to start with.

All this is, is kids from the team talking about how they are going to do this year. Anoka has a few decent players, but they are all SELFISH! Stars has no idea what he is even talking about on here, ER has just as many players AND they have DEFENSE.

Have no fear Big Thrust 8) , Anoka will talk and talk until they get exposed as to who they really are. Which is:

a) Brendan Eason himself
b) mediocre team yet again

Just be patient...

just wondering for note how did TONY SIEBERT do in the elite league i know of some games he might like to erase from recent memory. He didnt deserve to be in the league and sure as hell not on invite. As for anokas selfishness it is quite interesting how you see this because belisle and scot want nothing less than 30 assists. so where does this selfish ness come from? I just have one name that will haunt the elks this year JOHN ONIELL

RD, I talked about Siebert in the Elites in another thread. If you can get some help and have someone read it for ya, that would be great.

And as had been said many times before... Elite league is not HS hockey. Find a different board if that's all you care about. Hasn't shown that success in Elite league has won any state titles or done anything like that so personally I put 0 credence on what happens in that. It's more just somewhere for people to try and show off their individual skills and pay little attention to the team aspect.

Tony Seibert will outplay Eason this year, regardless of the team in front of him. He did not play strong in Elite, so what? If this kid wasn't quality they wouldn't have given him a free invite. Eason, errr RD, what team did you make? Quit riding that you 'outplayed' him in select 16's and think about the next level. He'll have you beat in S% and GAA this year.

John O'Niel? Once again in the argument about O'Niel vs. Brodhag...

How was O'Niel's tournament last weekend?

John O'Niel scored friday and Brodhag should have had an assist, winning a draw, before a goal by Brandon Martell . Brodhag, then notching two goals in the semi's.

I'm sure you'd have some games in recent memory you'd like to erase if you were in elite, but first you'd have to make team. Elite is made for forwards to show case finesse and defensemen to push the puck. It is more of a showcase than a standard hockey game.

Well ERE, of course the Elks will have Anoka beat in W column, thats a given, I was just stating that Seibert will have Eason beat on an individual level as well.

Hockeyguy- Couldn't have said it any better.

Do you really have to go that far?

Isn't is simple enough math to just do:

Elk River (always)> Anoka

I think thats stretching a little far now.... Anoka did beat Elk river just two years ago if i remember, and they did give them tough games last year as well, but they will blow it this year because they are all one way hockey players.

Stars67 wrote:WOW!!! Thats all I can say to that comment Big Thurst you have had some good imput on this board this past year but that is such an embarassing post you should really think about deleting it. O'Neill is a world class player he will in my opinion have a D1 scholarship before any other player on those two teams
Brandon Martell to the University of Minnesota

 Stars67 - now who should be embarassed?

BT just keeps building and building his credability, scary isn't it? \:D/
