VFW League
There is a VFW league in the cities on the East side. Stickstats.com has the info on it. It has teams from different districts playing 14 games. This year there is 2 divisions a stronger one with some of the bigger asociations like Centennial, White Bear, Woodbury, Roseville, Stillwater (Lake Elmo), Lakeville South(new), Rochester North and Rosemount. I think thats it for that one.
The other has Como (Rice Street), Tartan, NSP, CG, River Heights (IGH/SSP) Sibley and Johnson and Lakeville North. They play each other 2x's I don't know if the records have anything to do with seatings for playoffs or not. It is more games for Bantams, 1.5 stop time games. It is a nice set-up. Very competitive and it saves on out of town tournaments and scrimmages. It was smaller with 4 teams being added this year. The 2 Lakevilles, Johnson and River Heights(IGH/SSP combined at the A Bantam level)
This is why there are no Northern teams included in the poll. Sorry.

Read the whole post, Petey135. They are talking about the VFW league that is played in the East Metro. Not the State VFW tournament. But yes that will be won by a city team if you would like to start a new topic.
Re: who's gonna take VFW?
the topic wasnt vfw east metro was it? didnt think so..and gusto said he didnt know if those teams were right....and no i think north will come out biggusto wrote:any thoughts?predictions?

They divided the VFW LEAGUE into 2 groups based on last years performance. Rumor has it the top 4 from each group get into the playoffs. Not all of the teams in the VFW league are in the same districts for VFW playoffs. Type in "MN vfw hockey" on google or yahoo and you can find what the district breakdowns for VFW are.youngblood52 wrote:do the teams from the bottom division(Como, Nsp, Cg Etc.) end up playing the top teams( Centennial WBL and others) to go to state? Or do they have theyre own tournament
