Who will win D6 this year?
With the refs enforcing the new rules many teams are getting well over 14 minutes of penalties which will hurt them in the hep points category. but besides that, who do you think will win districts between EP, EDINA, and JEFFERSON.
who are the best on each team, and your opinions on each team.

I'm not buying the hype surrounding Jefferson. Straight up, they were a joke two years ago. I know that sounds harsh but it's true. One bright spot would be Caleb Herbert, who is a great player, but other than that I don't see too much talent. I would have to say Chaska will be top three, but if Burke makes Holy Angels, Edina and E.P. could run away with this thing.

Jefferson will win
You heard it here first. Jefferson will win District 6 Bantam A. 2 new kids from Kennedy and Faust moved back from Greenway...you know, the same faust that was one of the top 6 defensemen in the state last year at Advanced 15's. I hear the kid from Kennedy is even better. Dont bash me now, just remember I told you so.

EP is the odds on favorite with strong goaltending and solid all around team they will probably have the best record. But they will probably lose 1st place due to hep points. Chaska is nothing anymore with or without Burke. That leaves Edina, Jefferson, Burnsville & Minnetonka assuming EP loses their control on hep points. I agree that the hype around Jefferson is overblown. They have a few decent players but nothing like last year and Kennedy kids aren't going to make that big of a difference. I'd give them 4th at best. I'd say the likely scenario is Edina eeking out 1st place because of hep points.

Predictions
Sounds more like Edina will have HEP point problems. Reports from Centennial tourney are Edina spent a lot of time in the box. Should be interesting.

Burnsville has several good players withat least eight returning Bantam A's. Smyth was one of there top scorers last yaer as a first year so he isn't all bad. Gieslason was ok as a first year defensemen but he hasn't made varisty yet unless Breck did early tryouts. He'll probably be jv but Burnsville has several strong defensemen to fill his spot. They also have a kid named Mosey who's pretty good, Fisher, Roblewski and several more. Goaltending could be a weak spot but they have been playing well so far. They also have several first year kids from the peewwee A team that are pretty good. I wouldn't rank them above Edina or Ep but I bet they can beat just about anyone else in the league.

Gpherhky33,
You aren't very bright are you? BV should be decent this year and losing any one player won't ever hurt a good team. Don't forget, that this group of kids (when they were 10 first years last year) beat Chaska and knocked them out of playoffs in the early rounds. They were good last year as first years so they'll be better this year as second years. Add to that, that several teams are getting weaker because of players moving to HS and BV has a good shot at being in the top 3 in d6. Maybe you should think things through before you write stuff...stick to goaltending.

district 6
it will be a close race between edina ep and jefferson and chaska... edina will be tough like they always are just like ep... i think there could be some upsets this year in the district 6 battle because of the close race between these teams... jefferson vs chaska this thursday will be a good way to start of districts im thinking jefferson will come away with the victory but it isnt easy playing in chaska they have got some crazy fans that always boost up some of the chaska players.. look for leadership to decide this game it will be a close one.
