Thanks for posting the info about the Austin girls.

I live in the Cities and its fun to learn about these outstate teams. I have watched the Faber girl play against the States best players at the Junior Festival and she can really be difficult for the defense. Her efforts seem to be creating goals for either herself or another teammate frequently.

No question that is a good team and in my book the best team is Section 1A, I fully expect them to get the #1 seed for playoffs. You almost forget about how good the team is because of how dominant the first line is with Faber and Jenkins. Faber is a force out there, I can't wait for her to graduate

I believe the score of the Austin/Albert Lea scrimmage was 8-5 in favor of Austin.

RSI, I'm pretty sure Austin scored a few more than 8 goals...it didn't seem like the game was that tight. granted, austin does need to fix a few things; they made plenty of mistakes.

austin scrimmage

Post by hocsocstud »

I was at the scrimmage and Albert lea lost 7-4... albert lea was shaky at first but got it together and made it a good game. Albert lea was a little down due to death of former player

yes but...

Austin's second string goalie gave up 3 of the 4 Albert Lea goals.

I will admit that AL got slightly better as the scrimmage went on though.

petomwendo,
Did you read my original post? I said that I believe the score was 8-5. Since I wasn't there, and had to rely on someone else for my information, I made sure to prefaced my statement with I believe.

Austin's second string goalie gave up 3 of the 4 Albert Lea goals.
Twinnesota,
Just because your team gave up 4 goals in a scrimmage to Albert Lea is no reason make excuses. Don't sweat it; AUSTIN IS THE BETTER TEAM THIS YEAR, it's as simple as that.

I was at the scrimmage.

The score was 7-4.

Austin's top goalie gave up one goal, the second goalie 3...

PS----Austin is the better team this year but WILL NOT BE next year or the year after.

BINGO. I hope all the Austin fans savor this season, because it won't happen again for a long time.
