Why not? Moorhead is unchallenged in district 15. Unless there is an upset in regionals, I see this team at state.

D16 will send 3 teams to regions
Bemidji
Red Lake Falls
Roseau

my early season guess.

DIR will send three teams to regions
Grand Rapids
Hibbing, I Falls, Ely?????

D15 sends two teams
Moorhead
Brainerd or a town with only one Bantam team - Morris/Benson????

Take 8 of those teams, which two will come from the North region???
My guess based on same group at pee wees and early season play would be
Moorhead
and Bemidji.

Yeah, they really have no challenge to make it to states. Grand Rapids or Roseau will probably make it there along with them (most likely GR).

crossbar

You are obviously of bantam age, so I wll not pick on your spelling.

But as an 8th or 9th grader, you should start learning about logic, resaoning and, more so, research.

So, yes, Moorhead and Bemidji do have a shot at making it to the state tournament.

Now, since you are a metro area bantam, give us some feedback on some of the metro district teams with a decent shot at getting to state.

Eden Prairie Red or Eden Prairie Black

Centennial Red=Majorly Overrated. Burnsville would crush them. Chaska just beat them 6-2. There is too long of a list of possibilities

Here are the teams with the biggest chances of making it to regions and predictions based on results so far and how good they have looked when I have seen them:

North

D12

1. Grand Rapids
2. Int'l Falls
3. Dogfight for last spot

D16

1. Bemidji
2. Roseau
3. Red Lake Falls or Warroad

D15

1. Moorhead
2. Anyone; most likely Alexandria, Brainerd, or Sauk Centre

South

D4

1. Mankato
2. Another Dogfight

D1

1. Too early to tell, not enough information; I only know that Como got beat 14-0 by Blaine
2. Same thing
3. " "

D8

1. Woodbury
2. Eagan
3. Lakeville South or Rochester Black

East

D2

1. WBL Black
2. WBL Orange

D10

1. Blaine
2. Centennial Red
3. Champlin Park

D11

1. Duluth East
2. Hermantown
3. Duluth Lakers

West

D3

1. Wayzata Blue
2. Blake
3. Wayzata Gold or Maple Grove

D5

1-3. Anyone could surprise

D6

1. Edina White
2. EP Red (Yes, I said RED)
3. Burnsville

But Edina Green, Jefferson, Minnetonka, Chaska, or EP Black could all even take the #1 spot

For states,

North-Grand Rapids and Moorhead
South-Woodbury and Eagan
East-Blaine and WBL Black
West-Wayzata Blue and Edina White

Pretty good analysis ice00breaker.

D6 is really up for grabs after Edina White and I agree that EP Red will get stronger as the season goes on. In D3, I like MG over Wayzata Gold. In D10, Chisago may sneak into the top 3. Grand Rapids should emerge as the best team from outside the metro. Duluth East is an equal, but in a tougher region.

Is Rochester Black the clear best team from Rochester?

Rocehster Black is NOT the clear best team, but is better at this point. They beat one of their other teams 3-0. As for D10 Chisago Lakes could sneak up to the number 3 spot. Maybe even number 2. Centennial Red doesnt impress me much and Chisago Lakes has been quite a surprise so far.

Black is the better team, the teams were set up so that Black is the B1 team, Red is the B2 team, and White is the B3 team. That scrimmage was a 45 minute running time controlled scrimmage, after Black had already practiced. Red, the B2 team lost to Stillwater 6-0, and Black beat Stillwater 2-1. Unfortunately they did dilute the B1 team a little bit to lessen the gap between the two teams.

Regardless who it is, I think whoever comes out of D6 will make it at least to the 3rd place game of states, probably the championship. These teams are good now and they will get a lot better when they have to play tough competition nearly every game.
