StarTrib article says "St. Paul Central's coach says he likes the sound of it - the best team ever put together." The phrase "put together" kind of summs it up doesn't it?

Now this is girls BB. But it sounds a lot like the EP girls hockey situation with a few transfers gravitating to a team with existing talented players to make a super team.
I don't follow all the prep sports that close 'cause I like my girls hockey best. So are there one of these teams in every sport in MN? Is girls hockey only one small piece of the problem? With press like this article it only fuels the fire to tighten the trransfer rules.

Hockey is just a small factor in the transfer game.trilogy wrote:StarTrib article says "St. Paul Central's coach says he likes the sound of it - the best team ever put together." The phrase "put together" kind of summs it up doesn't it?

EP is just a small factor in the girls' hockey picture too.
I'm willing to bet over 30 teams have transfers attending different schools in Minnesota girls' high school hockey.
Girls and Boys Basketball is probably the worst in regards to transfers. AAU basketball is way bigger than AAA hockey!
How about Warroad hockey? Fathers of great players have mysteriously been offered jobs at Marvin Windows just as their kid turns 14--this has been happening for years. And ever since the OE rules were put in place virtually all good players from TRF ended up at Warroad--for many of those, their dads already worked at Marvin. Last year TRF finally beat Warroad in the Section finals--that's why it was such a big deal, because for years all the best went to Warroad. Does anyone know how Holly Roberts ended up at Warroad--I know she's from St. Cloud. I'm not saying there was anything underhanded going on there, I'm just wondering.
