This would be fun to watch, but I'll be in st. Cloud.

I hope someone keeps track of all the games and posts the results.

Now if you do the math, That would mean you would have to face Elk River in the third round.
Just like the High School Forum where Brainerds suppose to lose to Elk River too this weekend:shock:

Here is the summary:

Brainerd vs Crookston 4-3 OT
Elk River vs Moorhead 4-3 OT

Centennial vs Stillwater 7-0
Brainerd vs Elk River 3-0, Elk River outplayed them just could not score hit the pipe three times in the first period, four times in the game. Hot goalie, bad refs…

Elk River vs Stillwater 7-3, Stillwater looked a little slow, Stillwater beat them 5-2 in EP, maybe to confident.

Brainerd vs Centennial 4-3, Centennial outplayed them but just could not score, Brained spent most of 2rd period on power play, most of it 5 on 3.
4-2 with 1:50 left when they pulled their goalie...for the final score

Brained is a good team...top 20 yes...top 15??? top 10 no
Played two overtime games to get into the qtrs...against weak teams....

Wins are wins. They deserve to be atleast top 15. they won the tournament. and you keep saying "outplayed but couldn't score" goalie is part of the team. with his play, brainerd outplayed their opponents.

Brainerds goalie played well. Cen. DID NOT out play Brainerd and if I remember right there was one 5 on 3 for about a minute. Centennial had power plays also. Officiating was good all weekend. [went both ways] each team had short handed goals.Brainerd hit the pipe a couple times also. A goal is a goal!
Outstate teams made a good showing in this tourny.

I was in the box, I saw the game....
Brainerd is a good team yes, a good team makes their own breaks, but they also tied two (Virgina and Crookston) teams to get there when they should have blown them out.....top 15 yes.... top 10 no (sorry to bust your bubble indian head)... but only time will tell... hopefully they play some tougher teams, doesn't like it in their tourney....

I was also at the game, Curt. As a non-parent spectator, I disagree with your assessment of the championship game. Centennial did not dominate the game. It was very evenly match game. Both teams showed alot of heart, but Brainerd a little more. It was fun to see someone other than the usual suspects make an impressive showing. Great job, Brainerd!
